Trust me, even with your factual explanations, majority of the people will still follow the line of the mischievous OP/Moderator. I have come to realise that majority of us like fake news and dislike being told the truth.
You are 100% right.

Great

Different kinds of people protesting.

1. PDP members and supporters.

2. Relatives of those President Buhari probe and eventually jailed.

3. Those who are paid by opposition party.

4. Those who see it as an opportunity to wake their dead music career.

5. Those who are being pressurized by others to join.

6. Yahoo boys and girls.

7. Cultists.

8. Those who see it as an opportunity to see or meet their favorite celebrities physically.

9. Those who chase clout.

10. Those who see it as an opportunity to steal people's phone.

11. Those who go there to toast ladies.
and those who want Biafra. Useless people.

Oh Lord, send Angels to keep your children today.
They have sent thugs today in buses to attack us
We rally not for hate, but to deliver our brothers and sisters.
Therefore let all the souls of compatriots departed, rest not, but fight today.
Arise oh departed. Don't sleep.
Fight SanwoOlu's govt and his backers.
Fight Buhari's govt and his backers.
Let your blood come alive.
Amen.
why blocking roads? If you want to protest go and protest but don't block roads for people.

If you read that termination of appointment letter without the lens of myopism, you'd see that the company's action was legitimate, considering the fact that they've sacrificed a lot to keep their staff hale by providing those logistics and by telling them to work from home.

The guy who should supposedly be at work, chose to join the protest. He was unwise.

I pray he gets another soon, but this time, wiser.
Oga I am an HR person.I know the politics involved in this type of situation. The HR person that signed the letter just did it to keep his/her job. It is a political gimmick and may not stand if taken up legally? Has the employee being formally queried? Who investigated the matter? How was the investigation carried out? Supposing the guy was caught in the crowd? How do they expect him to escape without being hurt. Let the guy get a good lawyer like Femi Falana, Olisa Agbakoba, etc and sue the Company. They shall pay heavily. The guy could contact me for advice ..pro bono..i.e. Exe gratia. 08023001226 (SMS Only). Many thanks.

This clearly shows we are being rule by tyrant leaders. They are literally telling us freedom of speech is limited to certain people not the citizens entirely.

So they are using fake corona to hang singlet. Shame!!
what is this one saying! freedom of speech ke? was he suspended for what he said or for social distancing rule being enforced by the company? do you know that by this singular act of mr adekojo, so many people can die? his actions can be seen as deliberately putting company staffs in harms way. kudos to the HR for doing a wonderful job.

Oga, stop supporting tyrant. Is that the only crowded place that people pass thru? What about market place, Bus Stop, churches & mosques, social gathering etc?

Tolaram? Is that not an Indian company? After this end Sars thing. Dismantling all the slave plantations being operated by the Chinese, Indians and Lebanese in the name of foreign investors should be one of the next agendas.

The management is not wrong for me. They stated his fault and what they have been doing to avoid mingling with public. So this act is just to keep other staff safe against such disease. But it shouldn't be without pay. Let people see that they are doing this because of safety and not end SARS campaign.
Re: EndSARS: MBH Power Suspends Staff For Participating In Protest by trendyprettygir: 1:11pm On Oct 15, 2020
Hmm...

The only thing to add is this..

If you currently work for a company and you have been permitted to work from home, kindly ensure you do your full working hours before joining any protest.

What if he was at work, in the office? Would he have the time to join the protest or face his work?

You are paid to work and should observe your work hours. After close of work, you can do what you like or wait till weekend or take some leave days off.

Also be sure to read company policy on matters like this.

Please lets be real and not sentimental over these issues.

He was suspended because of the fear of spreading coronavirus at his office, not because he went for the necessary protest .

But the moderator that moved/pushed this to the Frontpage decided to be mischievous by the title of the thread.
And this shouldn't be, knowing how wide spread Nairaland goes all over the world.

"Company suspend staff that went to protest because of fear of coronavirus infection at the office". .... would have been more apt as the title of the thread.

Who wants to die by coronavirus infection now that it is going down all over the world?
They even provided free official vehicle to take him to and from from work, just to keep him and his colleagues safe.

I won't be surprised if the mod deletes this post anyways.
I have made my point.

You have a good point here!
Thank you. But God is the best bro.

INDEFINITE SUSPENSION IS TOO MUCH JOOR, IF ACTUALLY IT IS BECAUSE COVID, 2 WEEKS QUARANTINE HAS SOLVE THAT, AND THEN TEST.

Exactly my point. While he erred and behaved unprofessional by having some other form of engagement(joining the protest) when he is supposed to be working from home, i expect the company to formally issue him a query and give him an opportunity to defend his action. The company can also while waiting for his official response, ask him to make himself available at any of the government certified lab. for a covid-19 test fully paid by the coy. It is only on the result of the test and his response of the query can a decision be taken to protect the position of the company.

At least we have people that still have this country at heart by virtue of being honest.
I was surprised the contents were very different from the topic. My question, does it means the moderator never read before moving it forward or he/she wanted to be mischievous?

Good. So which clout or what amount of clout will be added to their lives and career as a result of them associating d nigerian protests?
Go make research on why people clout chase. There you'd have your answer.
