Amara The Lesbian Joins EndSARS Protests This country is really funny, in the midst of a very crucial time like this where well meaning Nigerians are fighting for the future of this country. Some people that called themselves LGBT community are also trying to take advantage of it by protesting for LGBT rights. Though I'm not against them fighting for their rights but why must it be now we are fighting for something more important and will benefit the country at large and not for one selfish people's right to sex. https://twitter.com/the_amarion?s=09 11 Likes 2 Shares

Throw these people out..I think they already did in Abuja. If they want to protest for their rights they can, this is not a gay right, it's about good governance. Rubbish 463 Likes 30 Shares |

Selfish? They're quite right to protest because they are at risk of insecurity too. In fact the best time for them to protest. The marriage can be banned but the imprisonment and murder/lynching must stop please. No civilized country does this. Nigeria's still backwards (infrastructure and intellect wise). So long they do it within the confines of their homes and hurt no one in the act, please they are free. Imagine a country where Yahoo boys and kidnappers are hallowed but gays lynched. SMH. They're free to. It's a life threatening matter too. The country in it's entirety needs restructuring and civilism too These youths aren't wise. If we must prosper as a nation, we have to all unite and agree what we need as a nation. This shouldn't just be endsars but should be an opportunity to repair our country. First we must agree on the restructuring of this country cause the country is a MESS Secondly, we must agree on devolution of power which means each region be given autonomy, with a weak central government. More like each region operating like a nation but under the same central government which would be weak and rather ceremonial. Thirdly, we must agree on HUMAN RIGHTS. Which would be absolutely total. Right to life, to practice your religion which of course we would be saving the likes of Mubarak, right to expression as to repeal the heinous gay law which imprisons gays and give them their full right without being harassed in anyway, and also to protect girls who dress up in certain ways from being harassed and raped. We must AGREE to be tolerant of each other's tribe, religions (cause a lot of people hate the average Muslim. Not all of them are terrorists you know even though the miscreants amongst them should be dealt with), each other sexuality should be tolerated (YES! LEARN IT TO BE TOLERANT), etc. By so doing, we would have succeeded in conquering these politicians who use divide and rule to scatter us. Nigerians aren't wise. This is a matter arising. Make a formal agreement to it and watch them fight with all their lives. Nigerians are so stupid. Their intolerance has made them stupid. 87 Likes 18 Shares |

...and here I was thinking the Nairalanders opening anti-tribalist threads daily will take their grievance to the streets. Na cowards full here. The protests have no figurehead(s), as such anything goes. 21 Likes 8 Shares |

I believe it's about time the conveners of the protests make public a clear agenda as to the exact purpose of the continued protests at this point. By the time various groups/sects start using the cover of the protest to air their own grievances, what we will have is simply going to be nothing but anarchy. The government should dialogue and negotiate, but who are the specific people to represent the youths in this dialogue and negotiations. Who exactly are those in charge of the protests at this point? For a movement to truly succeed, there has to be a united voice singing a united tune to effect a united purpose. If we're going to do something, be it protests or revolution, at least we must do it right. Too many moving parts will inadvertently make everything seem like needless troublemaking. 44 Likes 8 Shares |

You see what they have turned ENDSARS protest to. Good that FCT have banned any protest.. Other state should follow suit. Any protesters from henceforth should be arrested and incarcerated 16 Likes 3 Shares |

sbaks: Yes they are selfish, why not come out since to protest for their rights, or at least wait till we are through with Endsars protest. Why must it be now This people are nuisance, if you allow them to practice this their so called LGBT rights, they will like to smear it on our faces. Talking about lynching them, how many of them have you seen being lynched, murdered or imprisoned before You can tell me about the discrimination and I will totally agree with you but not nobody is being hurt because he/she is a gay, Nigerians don't even have their time. 69 Likes 4 Shares |

NaijirianKing:Their sexual organs as their biggest issue? Thank God you mentioned their lives because their lives are at stake here. With all the lynching of gays to death even posted here on nairaland? God! Nigerians are heartless and two-faced hypocrites. Even china doesn't mob gay folks nor imprison them. Not even Egypt. Many countries of the world don't. They simply don't recognize the marriage of which I can understand but to kill them is a NO. Face it! They ought to protest or no protest 19 Likes 6 Shares |

Re: Lesbians Join EndSARS Protests In Lagos by Nobody: 3:26pm On Oct 15, 2020 |
Finnese001:Not a common case? This is gross selfishness. It shows you're after yourself alone and are willing to use your fellow nigerian youth and dump them just as your fellow politicians (who you criticize) do. You can't focus on #Endsars when things are not correct. You cannot focus on #Endsars when the people you are protesting with are people who are ready to kill you. It's common sense. Your life is at risk here especially when a lot of these same protesters are ready to kill you. This is the best time for them to protest. It's either "ALL" are protected or no protests 5 Likes 1 Share |
