and I want the southern nigeria to unite before the elections..

yoruba has been president, same with south south.

I think it's time of the igbos..

we yorubas should rally round a igbo man with good record..preferably peter obi, this hausa/fulani are really taking us for a ride..

using divide and rule all the time..

NNPC, DPR has workforce of 95% northerner in key positions.

SOUTHERN NIGERIA ..Pls wake up and unite

Mind you a lot of northerners will disguise as igbo or yoruba to spite either of this great tribe against themselve..

We wil choose the best candidate, not based on ethnicity or religion. That should be the message here.

@Op you are not and can never be Yoruba, not even in your wildest dream.

What is my business with igbos have not tasted presidency.. they contested every presidential election and lost meaning Nigerians rejected them. We are in a democracy, everybody is free to contest and people will vote for their preferred candidate

Did they support M.K.O Abiola, a Yoruba man who won without their inconsequential votes in a free and fair election, didn't they collude with the North to deny M.K.O his mandate??
They have never supported anything Yoruba in their existence so why should Yorubas support them?

You Igbos had better face your region and leave Yorubas out of your issues. We are totally different

Who told you the Igbos want restructuring?
Who destroyed the regional system in the first place if I may ask you.

Let me educate you incase you don't know. Nnamdi Azikiwe knew from the onset that his SE region is the poorest in the entire South and second pooerest in the entire country, reason why he and his kinsmen worked tirelessly to see regional system destroyed so they can control all the resources at the centre. The Hausa/Fulani saw this long ago and killed their agenda off completely, took over control which they are enjoying till date.

South West on the other hand has been docile for too long and as it stands now, we call for restructuring. We don't want any alliance or draw back from any shi.tty region. STRICTLY RESTRUCTURING!!

Look, I know all about Azikiwe and Ironsi. However, that was then, and this is now. Both Yorubas and Igbos know that without serious restructuring, this country will collapse. Hausas and Fulanis don't want, so why not work with Igbos to get what we both desire for this country? Holding grudges won't do us any favor.

We have our representatives in the National Assembly and elites to push for restructuring. It has nothing to do with alliance with any SE!

Let them face their biafra or referendum or whatever while we focus on what will benefit us in South West

You seem not to understand. We yorubas cannot get restructuring on our own. We simply do not have the numbers. The other major political groups, Hausas and Fulanis, have already said that they are not interested in restructuring. Niger Delta and Middle Belt do not have the clout needed to pull strings politically, so the only other option for us is to form an alliance with the Igbos. From there, we get the middle belt and niger delta on our side, and boom... restructuring will happen in the blink of an eye.

Don't ever say that again!

Which population don't we have? What is the total population of Igbos??
Yorubas are five times larger than Igbos in population. One Yoruba state (Oyo) is equivalent to the whole of 5 South East states combined. Now take those in the remaining 5 SW states of Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti and compare with them. We have large number of Yorubas lumped up with North in the Middle Belt who are clamouring to reunite with SW. Who know SE??

My dear friend, you better wise up and smell the coffee.
The Igbos are only interested in Presidency which I doubt they will ever get in this generation. Should they by chance get it, they will place a ban/decree like death sentence for anyone that mentions restructuring again, simply because they are in power. It's then people like you will realize you've been played all along.

Well, is it not better than being taken for a ride continuously by these unprogressive northerners? How many times do we have to played by them before we look for someone else to partner with politically? First it was Awo, then Abiola, and now its looking like Tinubu. Each of the three have seemed to be progressive ideas genuinely interested in moving this country forward, but each time they come close to doing so, they are usurped by those damn fulanis. See how the northerners are rubbishing APC, Tinubu's invention. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the embarrassment. Let's at least give them a chance. Besides, the Igbos know how the other electorates feel about them. So, if they try any nonsense (which is unlikely), they would simply be removed.

in d north u wont be able to differentiate between state and federal roads, all of dem are good
in d south (except akwa ibom) there is hardly any good road, both federal and state
my problem is not pointing fingers too far, but pointing fingers very close. We can all blame Buhari while we forget d fact dat Obj was there for 8yrs, GEJ was there for 6years. Even Bayelsa is an eyesore in terms of roads

It is evident you don't know our history and genesis of our problems in this country.

Over and over, Pa Awo invited people like Azikiwe to work together but was betrayed times over by the Igbos who prefer Hausa/Fulani because they feel they can easily manipulate the Northerners which is false.

They called Yoruba betrayers, slaves etc. simply because we supported PMB but the same people see themselves as saints backing Atiku (a Fulani just like PMB) cos he chose their son Peter Obi as running mate. Are those the kind of people you want to trust? Seriously??

I see them as fellow country men quite alright but not people to forge any alliance with.
