My mum once asked me why I wasn't passionate about the air force not knowing I have seen how American aiforce guys are given pistol for emergencies like jamming of guns and burning fighter jet. It is expected of them to ease their transition to the final abode with the pistol.
As I see am for film, I just cancel airforce for my mind. It's better we do it one on one on the ground.
Mind you, I doubt I would ever run out of ammunition when I can easily get from black market in the francophone countries.

Long time baba. How things? I didn't apply oh. My course came out for the first time this year in DSSC.(Agricultural Science) however I am plus 2 already. My friend that we did airforce in 2012 together is a flight lieutenant now and the other that we did army in 2014 should have been a captain last year but ........

hmmm brother, Its possible alot, first, sequel to your response to a soldier shooting himself, as cadets there is a golden prayer every instructor prays for us "May we never be captured by the enemy", bro plssss NEVER pray to be captured by the enemy, NEVER EVER. As officers of the armed forces death is not a thing we fear, we are prepared, trained for it. Do the brave thing when the chips are down before the enemy.

Secondly, it's very possible that you run out of ammo in battlefield,experiences of officers and soldiers that have being in the frontline have made it glaring to us, presently in battlefield, forget having your "First line scale" I'm sorry I cant explain further what it means for security purpose. Without your first line scale how can you engage an enemy for even 2hrs of intense firing, thanks to armour and artillery though. Without those guys just forget it!

I hope I made little sense, I pray all of you on this list make the forthcoming shortlist really, my prayers are with you. This group made me!

For that pistol matter even Nigerian Airforce issue same to their pilots on combat missions. It is the standard world wide, basically it is for self defense incase the pilot ejects from his aircrafts (fixed wings) and finds himself in enemy territory, his pistol is part of his survival kit till help comes.
Even Nigeria army issue their personnels in the northeast service pistols(for those that want) esp those in the north east.

oga sir, pistol isnt for all...its essentially an officers personal weapon. Wish I can type alot concerning rules guarding pistols. However, the efficacy of pistols is futile because battle in northeast arent at close quarter whereas the pistol is a close quarter battle weapon, how then can you use it when the enemy is not in close range of about 30m?? Enough rounds should be preferred sir
