Corruption in this country doesn't know your ethnicity... It's sad we grew up thinking if you are not "corrupt smart" you are "Dulling"

Moreover, there's no standard to measure which ethnic group is more corrupt in Nigeria.

A policeman extorting is very wrong. Likewise a soldier fighting physically and beating a policeman is wrong too. lt shows the level we have fallen into. That is how soldiers normally beat civilians and telling them to swim on gutter water. We need a change in the forces both police and army. Nigeria deserves freedom

Police and other security outfits should be well funded and paid just like medical workers. Their work is equally critical if not more essential. And even for the fact that they carry dangerous weapons.

Imagine an officer who has spent a decade in the Force going home with paltry N50,000 a month.

We would have more moral grounds to deal with this ugly situation if they are well remunerated.

We can get the fund by cutting the salaries and allowances of politicians by 80%.

Police is govt work.

They get promoted usually every 3 years.

After 10yrs in service, he should be earning up to N70 to N84k.

Do you know the person he is extorting may not earn up to N50k ? Is low salary a justification for forcing bribes from innocent road users ?

Why not reject the job if the conditions don't measure up to your expectations ?

In the north you can go through 3states and not encounter a single police checkpoint, but here, you will stand at one checkpoint and see 5 more within a stone throw.
These are some of the reforms that we could point directly at and demand that they be totally dismantled as well

End Sars protest goes beyond ending sars, it includes everything you have listed and, and even better salaries, and welfare for the police. In all we are asking for police reforms and massive overhaul.

If States control their police, it won't be so.

There are Southern police in the North, why are they not brutal?

We need devolution of power.
The North want it to remain so because they don't care about the South.

Governors in Nigeria are not in charge of their states' security, just like when Benue State banned open grazing, the police refused to enforce the law.
