Verdict of appeal will be out within a month or so. Honestly, Juventus are just pussies. Even CR7 later tested positive. Funny lots.

daveP:
Appeal still ongoing. They denied our guy a chance to terrorize that defence.

Africans should be as busy as the Europeans during the breaks as well. Na only qualifiers and friendlies dey to make Africa something ni. Altho Pa Wenger has said Thr Nation's League is still faceless and confusing, as people can't relate with it, hence the need to lower thr timeframe between fifa Competitions, Africa won't do bad if they got theirs. We'd see many newborn stars in no time and more ratings.

Officiating also needs improve. Dunno about Var sha.
the funny thing about var is that it costs just 50 million to install. Yet Nigeria will not have money to put it in at least ten stadiums.

NAIRALAND NIGERIAN FOOTBALL FANS AWARDS, 2020.

The year is gradually winding down, and as it has been our tradition, we roll out awards to our best performing players in various categories within the calendar year.

However, COVID-19 has affected football matches the world over. Nigeria therefore has only 4 matches this year: The two international friendlies (Played already) and the AFCON qualifiers double header against Sierra Leone in November.

Now, the question is will these 4 games be enough to assess the team for us to make good enough judgement of how these players performed in the National team in 2020?

IF WE THINK WE CAN GO AHEAD WITH THIS YEAR'S AWARDS, PLEASE CLICK "LIKE ", AND IF NOT CLICK "SHARE".

VOTING CLOSES @ 7AM 16TH OCTOBER, 2020.

Thanks.

A very big "thank you" to all that participated in this Poll.

43 monikers participated.
27 clicked "like" which represents those FOR the 2020 awards.
16 clicked "share" which represents those AGAINST the 2020 awards.

Those for the awards are therefore the majority. And so we go ahead with the 2020 awards.

I will plead with those whose opinion was for us not to conduct this year's awards to also embrace and be part of it. It is all for the good of Nigerian football.

In the coming days the Time line for this year's Process shall be rolled out.

UP EAGLES!!!

This is what I saw o.
According to a report I have seen, Saka has been dismissed from the England team
due to Southgate describing him as a striker and as such was unlikely to play due
to the number of players of greater ability in front of him.
Has anyone heard anything, it has been a shock that Niles is regarded as being a
better prospect for England.
Saka was given no favours in the England match as the player behind constantly
chose to send the ball to the other side of the pitch.
There is a perception within the games reporters and managers, that, despite
beating the top two English teams and giving gritty performances ,that Arsenal
and it's players are sub standard ,and that teams who's players have lost games by
numerous goals, are somehow better than Arsenal's. Saka is a prime example, he
was not regarded by the other players as part of the team.

Hmmm

I dont fault juve or the Fa, but the Authorities that prevent Napoli from taking of,

a call, or message to the Fa, about their stance, as we giving enought tangible reason, why the game should not hold, will do a lot of good to both sides

They sent letters to Juventus and the Legia Serie A yet nothing. The Local health authorities (ASL) of Campania communicated to al parties involved officially starting that Napoli were close to leaving but were stopped in line with their high level Covid protocols. Juventus were just too adamant to play despite knowing Napoli were stopped from making the trip. Even their own star player eventually caught Covid. And their president Agnelli speak of Juventus "always" abiding by the rules. Did he say "ALWAYS"? I laughed at that. Same Juventus that was neck deep in Match fixing scandals across Italy some years back?? Now they claim to always follow the rules. Rubbish from Agnelli. Lol

Anyway, we will see what the appeal verdict brings. Agnelli and Juventus have already said they won't counter-appeal if Napoli's appeal leads to a replay and a reversal of Serie A's decision. They said they will bring the ball and play if that is the case. So we wait.
