Why won't you waste your years in the university? When we advise you to face your studies squarely and gets practical skills relevant skills related to your career, you will busy chasing Ronaldo, Messi, computer games, Bbnaija, entertainment, Davido, buna boy, playing music, abuse of social media and watching unnecessary movies that will never put food on your table in the future.

Now, you can go and collect your money from Ronaldo and Messi or let Davido borrow you money since you have invested so much of your time on them! Brilliant minds in theory and practical are needed in Engineering, not somebody who will go and be partying all around. Out of 5yrs, you spent more than four years of your last life chasing irrelevant skills and now when Kama is paying you back following n your own currency, you begin to complain.

The same theory you were taught in schools is what many who have excelled today were taught but they didn't stop there, they were using internet opportunity to search for practicals that will make them become employable or skillful after graduation while you were busy chasing irrelevant skills all along. You need to be loaded in relevant areas before you can be needed.

If you are skillful in your engineering areas and applications, you should be able to standalone on your own without looking for white-collar jobs or by trying to think beyond the box and come out with little invention, but instead you wasted your time and now blaming government and your ancestors.

If engineer, who suppose to be a job Creator and employer of labour by virtue of his/her profession, brilliance and default creativity begins to lament of joblessness, then, what should other professions do. Your problem is personal, look inward to solve your problem, cut down on what has been wasting your time so you can retrace your path back to success in your engineering profession.

Globally, richest individuals are from engineering profession and affiliated courses. Leave Ronaldo and Messi, Davido and buna boy for a while till you get meaning to your life because if you become frustrated in life, these people will never borrow you Kobo, even if they know you exist somewhere on this planet

do you know since when I was doing practical, since year two, from SWEP to SIWES apart from 100level holidays I had never had other holidays, after continuous lectures from 8am to 2pm, then it's lab work from 2pm to 5pm. my school did a very good practical...

some of our colleges spend 6/7years so please....
as for me na nepotism for the environment wey I day, cause am...
I was at NNPC interview last year, I have written several federal government jobs examination whose results are not out for over one year or so....
think of how an introvert in this kinda situation will survive without connect

as for watching football and musics. I think in life if I would be graded for that, I will get F9 at most or Absent at best

A thread that gives serious #food4thought .
Though a lot of factors influences or had influenced (as the case may be) our choices of course study in the tertiary education, ranging from poor counseling, parental influences, exposure, economic factors and the society we find ourselves. Though not withstanding If I'm privileged to advise upcoming generations, I would say choice courses that compliment your inborn abilities. For instance, if from childhood years you have strong affinity to gadgets and technology. This set of persons with this traits if they happen to pick a course related to ICT and programming and they're unconsciously and consciously working on themselves. The likelihood of them excelling in this career path is more compared to someone who just studied the course with the notion that the course is actually selling.
By the way I studied Geoinformatics and Surveying in school, though it wasn't a pre-planned course for me but I did love to be an engineer based on my liking for it in my childhood days. Fortunately the course is engineering related. To cut the long story short, I'm still in the surveying profession and also a lover of business.
In essence, the four wall classroom is meant to packaged us for the future outer the four-walls. We make changes in our future by taking calculative steps everyday. Our habits is a preview of our future. Your course of study shouldn't define you, your habits does. If you're the type that's very complacent about life you wouldn't go far in life until you break-away from such evil thread.
