I got COPR before March 18th, we wanted to fly by March ending covid 19 came and I had a new born in May 25 which has been added like after two weeks and he’s showing on my profile..Up until now, I have not received any update..Don’t knw why this is taking too long, am just loosing my mind..I have raised webform countless times and all I get is a generic mail, requested GCMS notes but for nothing.....Pls what more can I do anyone as ..Thanks for your help

Try calling CIC to speak with an agent.

I used to use an app which allows free calls via the internet to US/Canada because the wait time can be long.

Get your CoPR first. I think the CoPR will come with travelling advise. However, the last time I checked, people are landing in Canada from Nigeria, even in the tick of lock down.

if I fail my first or second driving test, when I travel to Canada with my Nigeria drivers license. Will it limit me from getting an instant full license
Is it a must to change my tires to winter tires every winter??, If I decide no to change tires during winter will I be illegal.

With respect to the bolded it depends on the province. I have never had any issue in Ontario for not changing tires. However, the insurance is slightly high as a result of this. Insurance companies will generally ask if you will be using all seasons tires instead of Winter tires (in the winter).

I have heard in Quebec there are police checkpoint inspecting car tires in the winter. It seems like winter tires are mandatory in Quebec

From December 1 to March 15 inclusive, all motorized road vehicles registered in Québec (other than heavy vehicles, tool vehicles and farm machinery) must be equipped with winter tires.

This requirement also applies to rental passenger vehicles in Québec, as well as mopeds, motorized scooters and motorcycles.

IF YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH WINTER TIRES BETWEEN DECEMBER 1 AND MARCH 15 INCLUSIVE
The fine varies from $200 to $300, plus costs




Ontario – While there are no actual laws in Ontario that require drivers to use winter tires, there are some reasons people might want to use them outside of them simply being safer. Insurance companies in the province are legally required to give discounts to drivers who use winter tires.

I carefully drove it back home, parked and took cabs till I had time to change the tires.

If you however have All Season Tires, they will hold on well; but if you are on the normal tires(summer tires)..just make sure you have AA or AMA numbers for possible towing. But why will anyone consider such?

My destination is Manitoba, Winnipeg, I guess winter tire is a necessity??.
