If you've ever had this trouble, I need your help.

Bg Story: Anaconda keeps returning 'Failed to create Menus'' whenever I've it reinstalled.

I've tried out the suggestions from Anaconda itself .. nth +ve. Help smone

Go to Anaconda download archive and grab the 2019.03 version. I encountered a similar issue while helping someone to install it and the solution I just provided worked for us.

If you don't mind, you can also use Visual studio code to do all anything you can do on Jupyter and more. It has more features than Jupyter, and I use it for all my data-science projects. You will love it and won't want to go back to Jupyter.

Wow this looks nice but I prefer jupyter because of the way it let's me comment on code.

This is a jupyter notebook too. It has the extension ".ipynb"

Does it have the exact same functions like the 'markdown' function?

Guys, is there anyway to install spyder without installing anaconda?

I installed python with the standalone exe from the official site and I don't want anaconda's python version to interfere with mine(I'm afraid of losing my frameworks data)

You can also comment on code and stuff using VS code, I'll show that you later, not with my laptop ATM. If you still prefer Jupyter, that's fine. Most important thing is to get the job done. cool

Bro, it's far better than Jupyter and has more features than it. I've used Jupyter in the past, so I'm talking from experience. You can suit yourself if you prefer Jupyter.

That problem is really an annoying one, once encountered it, had to format my PC still no positive result. So I installed Jupyter in my PC direct using Pip install. Then after some time I saw a program named anaconda cleaner, used it to clean every anaconda file in my PC and reinstalled it again then it worked

Please share the link of the anaconda cleaner. I have some kind of issue with my system for 2 weeks running now. I'll make use of the Jupyter notebook and next time I try to open it, its gone. But the main anaconda is still on the system, so I have to uninstall and reinstall.

There are excel courses mentioned in the thread... And if you need the basis, you could check YouTube or get a udemy course from a torrent website.

Out of the 3,
One from from lekki asked me to analyze data as assessment of which I pythonize grin it,running pandas and Power BI on it.Had to utilize all my skills to solve the problem. This was a big edge I had over others. Some excel users will be calling theirselves data analyst but they are just far from it... before you knew it,in just a week I got a notification that "Can I resume the following week" with a net pay of 180k. Damn!... I was so so happy... first data analyst job and the best thing about it was that it was remote..No transport, just me in my house and I report to boss every Friday what I've been doing.
Had to share my story too to freetutorials.us because they were helpful with tons of tutorials I downloaded from them.
Fast forward..4 month into the job damn, I started expanding and experimenting my skills. I became more of a Business intelligence developer. Before a year, I've toured round 15 states in Nigeria all by flight....
I loved what I was doing then, but one thing about remote job is that sometimes it may make you lazy and extravagant sometimes. Its then you will be thinking of going to cinema to watch film or event centers......

Big man. This thread actually inspired me a whole lot and as I earlier said, we share similar background coming from the BSc in a biological science course...

Anyway, I have a new data analyst job which I'll resume fully this November but I want to add another one, preferably remote. How did you get a remote job offer? Most coys prefer you physically come to work...

Any other person's input will also be greatly appreciated.

Big congrats. Remote these days looks rare not as before.. Upwork has made a lot of changes making the chances slim. However stackoverflow seems good a bit. Once again congrats

Data analyst in the house please I need your help... I know how to use python very well to analyze data sets and also visualize the data using matplotlib etc and I also know how to visualize data using Tableau, I know how to use sql very well but I don't know how to use excel and power BI. Now my issue now is that what kind of projects do I need to undertake that I can put in my portfolio to be able to get data analyst jobs...

IMO learn Excel boss, Power BI will follow after naturally since it’s same approach.

I freelance for a BA team and all the projects I’ve been working on so far was done using Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA) to create reports.

Python/ SQL would have made the project go smoothly (and my life easier) but its for the accounting department - where every detail is stored in spreadsheets so it had to be Excel and Excel only.

As for your question

I had exactly same problem back then. I haven’t done this yet but the strategy in the picture is what I plan to follow. I hope it helps!

Ejiod my guy.. I remember us conversing via mail some 2 years back on my old moniker. I had just got my first job as an intern and didn't know where I was headed in IT. I tried web dev initially..
HTML and CSS was easy. JS was confusing . I was making progress but I did not know If I should master vanilla JS or not. Too many technologies in that space to confuse a beginner.
I have always been average with numbers so I felt that limitation will come to the fore sooner or later so I was hesitant diving straight. But was very good with manipulating Excel.

Then .. boom I get my first real Job in Technical Support. I knew that was what I wanted lol. I have expanded into Cloud Computing so much now. Yes I still write codes to automate stuffs. But now it's Powershell scripts to interact with Azure.
I will be resuming my third Job after this whole SARS issue is over, in a cloud focused role and salary is just over 200k. Not bad for someone with 2 years experience and almost zero certifications grin.
I still have a thing for Data analysis wahlahi. And will later write a Microsoft Certification to certify my Excel skills. Will delve into python too as I work more with Linux and AWS.

It's all good. Any path you wanna taken just start doing something.
I hope to become more established in my field so that I can draw up a thread to guide people too. Una well done
