Hi everyone
Please do agencies in UK offer jobs to pregnant women (first trimester) to work as a nurse after passing their CBT and IELTS?
Kindly reply ASAP
Thanks in anticipation.

Dear Crushsugar, thanks for all your explanations so far.

I am a registered Nurse Midwife in Nigeria. I have a few questions

1. I'd love to know if your facility assist foreign trained basic midwives who have passed IELTS exam and CBT test to secure jobs as pre-registered midwives in the UK?

2. If it doesn't, do you know of any agency that supports and recruits pre-registered midwives pending OSCE?

3. Most agencies seem to sponsor and recruit general nurses. Any idea on how to link with basic midwives' sponsors?

4. Where basic midwives find it difficult to be sponsored, can I apply for sponsorship as a general nurse using my 18months qualification in general nursing?

5. Will I be considered as a pre-registered nurse (having only 18months post basic nursing)?

6. Finally, kind drop your email address or send me mail using goch4sweet@gmail.com

Thanks.

Great thread.I m not a nurse neither from a medical related discipline.Pls don't mind if my questions are a bit unnecessary.
1.In uk, they are always talking about adult, mental nursing etc, if one is a RN from nigeria, which nursing type do u fall into when u get to UK
2.for someone who obtained msc nursing in Uk(accelerated program from a different discipline o), can u work as a normal nurse too? What band will you be placed on at the start
3.what determines the rate of promotion
4. I m 38, thinking of msc nursing.will this not affect employability.

Hello Crushsugar, please for a spouse in the Uk that studied education management in the university in Nigeria before migration, how can that person progress from health care assistant to nursing? What is your view about nursing compared to teaching in the UK assuming interest is constant in both?
With what I have heard, teaching pay better.
Anyone is really a good choice if the passion is there.
Healthcare assistants is usually without qualifications. So the person has to do a degree in nursing by full time or apprenticeship.

I don't know anyone but just let them know you are pregnant while sorting your application.
Remember it is going to be stressful for you financially especially with no relatives around and you might not be entitled to full maternity leave and pay because they require you to have at least worked for a year before being entitled to full maternity leave and pay.

good afternoon everyone
candycrush, please, I have a question for you
I want to start my UK journey but I am not sure which IELTS to write. I heard nurses no longer need to write IELTS ukvi academic as long as they have IELTS academic or any other accepted English test. my question is how true is this?. I want to register for IELTS academic because I can take the test in my state and it is somehow cheaper. it I take IELTS academic, can I use it for visa immigration too or I will still have to write IELTS UKVI academic again..

thanks

Academic version of the IELTS test is what you need. Either BC or IDP/MOD. UKVI IELTS no longer a necessity.

Evening house,Pls I have a question.
I'm on my UK process and I am about to do my TB test, but I don't have offer with any trust or agency yet. Whose UK contact details should I put on the TB registration page where employers details (address, postcode, phone number) are asked?

Why are you doing TB test when you have no offer? The TB test must have employer name on it. They usually insist you tell them whom to direct it to.

It took me a while but I'm finally here. I want to share my experiences because I feel many persons would benefit from it.
I'm going to be sharing about my journey so far.
I only ask that questions should come in an orderly manner, that means we would take questions at different intervals.
Ready?!

It can't be totally true. If one agency refuses, try another .Currently, most prefer employing people already in UK because of the difficulty in travelling. It will ease with time.

Hi crushsugar, I am a UKRN.

I'm looking at bringing my wife and child, but I need information on the requirements especially the proof of Accomodation.

Also for invitations.

Thanks

You are wrong..how can one without b.sc go in for M.sc?

If you have a degree certificate that's not Nursing, you can go for MSc nursing in the UK

As a nurse, if I want to bring my spouse along to the UK using the CBT route, what are the requirements with respect to proof of funds for my spouse and does my spouse need to provide IELTS also

On your certificate of sponsorship, your employer should have ticked that they are willing to support your dependants financially so you do not need any proof of funds. She doesn't need ielts

Hello, CrushSugar I’ve been reading through your post and I must say they are wonderful.
But I want to make an enquirer for someone studying occupational therapy here in Nigeria, does that person have any prospective job in the UK or even Hospitals that are ready to employ
