Go and ask, the 1966 coup carried out by Nigerian junior army officers and headed by mostly Igbo officers was carried out in solidarity of Yorubas, basically to free Oba Femi Awolowo from jail and make him President then.

It surprises me how the Yorubas have so many intellects, I personally think the Yorubas are the most educated group in Nigeria, but still can't understand why they think the Igbos are their enemies even with all their education. If the Yoruba joins in full force for the restructuring of Nigeria, it will happen quickly.

The northern elites will not share power with other regions, at least not without a fight, and I hope that when the Yorubas wake up to the truth that the Igbos are fighting for their common good, it won't be late then.
