izzou:Guy. You dey put words for my mouth. That is clearly mischievous. Which definitely means you were in support of the government intervening so you can have a stress-free passage on the roads Prove how any of my post suggest the quote above (typed by you). Like I said earlier, I only made appeals to the protesters, gave reasons and that was it. I even saw the government as being helpless. 3 Likes |

A40: Politicians can do any and everything to stay on top of their game These protests have been peaceful in its first few days, except for the heavy traffic How come the protesters started to become violent in a space of two days? To the extent of doing the impossible? Breaking out people from Federal prisons? Burning fleet of cars? Torching up police stations? Make everybody believe wetin him want sha. At least, nobody can twist it that the protesters shot themselves at Lekki this night.. 4 Likes |

DontBullshitMe: I don't understand why you want us to argue I am saying the same thing you are saying You wanted the protests to end. To you, people are suffering, the economy was dying and people have lost their lives because they can't get medical help on time You wanted the government to end the protests . You even said it was "Long overdue" on the thread where soldiers were deployed to the airport.(I read that on the thread) Yes, you didn't support the killings, but it was the method the government used to end it.. Is it not the same thing with what you are saying? 4 Likes |

ToyinDipo: Just like Alamaesiagha was in the same party with Obasanjo when Army massacred Odi. It's nothing to do with Alams and maybe even OBJ was unaware. Army goes rogue often especially an illequipped and poorly trained force like Naija Army. Buhari is definitely culpable for this though wittingly or unwittingly. His reaction to ElZak-Zaky massacre is enough to hang him, but not the AC guys 4 Likes |

A40: Lekki is the nervecentre of the protest. It's where all the social media campaigns and protest strategy emanate from. Same reason Universities were always targeted in any riots in the 1990s, you go after the intellectual power behind the movement to die it. |

BlueRayDick: This is not evidence. Anyone can take down those CCTV. Governor must not know every nook and cranny in his state, and even if he did, all Governors have been preparing to disperse protestors and taking down evidence is par for the course to avoid litigation, as some force will be used in doing so. Signing off on Tiananmen or Soweto style massacre is beyond the AC guys though and detrimental to their political futures. Tinubus presidential ambition died today for example. This is the work of military/Northern hawks who don't care about the political future of the AC guys. 2 Likes |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by ToyinDipo(m): 11:51pm On Oct 20, 2020 |
Ibime:The Odi massacre was obviously strictly between OBJ(army) and the Odi villagers, there was no way the outcome would affect Alamaesiagha, neither was there a way or need for him to intervene. OBJ gave the order for the fight back and it was very obvious. The current protest is not just against FG, it's against the government almost at all levels, the way the protest is going it may affect all leaders at all levels, and from video evidences the fight back is not just from FG, in fact there is no major direct evidence against the FG at the moment, it's the people who benefit from this corrupt country who are orchestrating this. My people will say if inside death cannot kill someone, then the outside death can't. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ibime(m): 11:56pm On Oct 20, 2020 |
iamoyindamola: If you are planning to disperse crowd in an area, you will take down camera based on 1 or 2 incase some things get out of hand. That is different from ordering massacre. It could also be FG/Army taking down those cameras or FG/Army asking local Govt to take down those cameras incase things get out of hand. Every Governor will take down that camera if asked, or even preplanned in conjunction with the army. It does not mean you are in cahoots to massacre unarmed civilians. At some point, one or two lives would be lost in the process of quelling the protest which is acceptable to any Governor, but hardly any Governor will cosign Soweto-style massacre. That is political suicide. 3 Likes |

ToyinDipo: Yes, many politicians are worried, but many politicians have successfully rode the wave including Wike and SanwoOlu. The most glaring direct evidence that FG is hawkish on this matter came as far back as last week when Army announced Crocodile Smile and said they are ready to intervene to restore law and order. State Govt also does not control the Army and the shooters are Army. That's all FG. In fact SanwoOlu was looking like the one on the side of the people till today. 4 Likes |

Ibime:Bros I live in Lagos, attended a Lagos state owned higher institution, and have friends who are aides to top politicians in the state. Believe me, I know what I know. Lekki toll gate is controlled by LCC which is a concessioninst company allegedly owned by Tinubu responsible for taking tolls on that expressway in conjunction with Lagos state government. Talks about Tinubu's or Sanwoolu's political adversaries gaining access to the toll gate, taking out the cameras, switching off the lights prior to a military massacre will never make sense to someone like me knowing what I know. I understand u may be permutating and trying to explore possibilities of people trying to sabotage their efforts, but people like us who are on ground will never buy that theory. 7 Likes |

BlueRayDick: I'm not talking of Tinubus political enemies doing nada. I'm saying FG can take down those cameras with or without Tinubu and SanwoOlu knowledge or approval. If they have their approval, doesn't mean Tinubu and Jide know what is about to sele. Every Governor is working with FG/Army at this moment to restore normalcy. They may anticipate Army will get rough-handeded and brutalise some protestors which is acceptable to them to restore normalcy, and wise to take down those cameras to kill noise. They would never acquiesce to open firing of automatic rifles at unarmed Lagosians though. I feel Tinubu and Jide have been blindsided. 3 Likes |
