Few days ago, you defended Peter obi against police brutality over the police because you all believed he has no authority over the police. How is it now possible for sanwo-olu to have authority over the military? Here the igbo people are quick to condemn but will fail to condemn their own

the truth Is that sanwo olu knew it was beyond his control, he saw it coming and immediately enforced curfew to save lives.

but people refused and now lives are lost.

you wouldn't realy blame him. the order was from the executives and he could do nothing.

maybe he was threatened by tinubu, buratai, and buhari to keep calm or get assassinated.

Tinubu had objected to Military intervention before which was why the Fulani started saying he sponsored the Protest.

Exactly. The whole state would have been put under a state of emergency by the FG (which is a defacto military rule/administration), that was why Sanwo-Olu had to declare the curfew. The protesters seem to have gotten carried away. The curfew was meant to protect them and the rest of the state.

OP take this truth from me. Such operation won't go on by the military without informing the governor. It is protocol

Accrdoing to a leaked chat, it says that Sanwo-Olu knew about the impending doom and that was why he declared the curfew to save the protesters. It's might be true tho

People don't realize that the FG has the power to put a whole state under martial law (military government) if it feels it has enough justification. The handwriting was already on the wall since violence started escalating all over the state some days back. Even police were unwilling to work. The curfew was meant to calm things.
