Duh. It's about the wage level to start with. - What's the inflation rate? - How many Nigerians are able to save after monthly expenses are met? - How many are even able to meet basic living expenses?! Don't let me vex this afternoon abeg. 57 Likes 1 Share |

Food prices have skyrocketed. Rice, the most consumed cereal in Nigeria, has increased from N9K to N30+ between 2015 and 2020. This was another reason for the anger demonstrated during the protests. Buhari must reopen our borders. 38 Likes |

In the current Nigeria, if you can afford one "unsquared" meal a day, my brother, thank God oo. There is hunger in the land. People are angry. 24 Likes |

We all know that the cost of living in Nigeria is cheaper compare to some developing country. You can get a standard 2 bedroom in Lagos for €500 annual while that will only take you for a month. 2 Likes 1 Share |

If not that I have propelled myself never to be shock again, I would have been rushed from market ground to the hospital. I bought a sachet tomato paste @ #60, I was like its owkay, then the following week I was told to bring #120 to get it. Aaaah because of the 1st paragraph I jejely gave them the money without any comment. But deep down me I was boiling and these questions were rumbling in my brain simultaneously; Where are we going to? When is it going to be better? What is happening? How much I'm I earning? 15 Likes |

Re: Cost Of Living In Nigeria by Olodo24: 1:20pm On Oct 22, 2020 |
You didn't consider how much the average Nigerian earns in a month. 30k salary can't buy a bag of rice. A sachet of tomato paste is #120 and #150 in some areas. These things may seem cheap to you, but many of the average Nigerians can't afford them 24 Likes |

Please someone should tell Buhari to open the borders.. let food come in.. especially rice. While he monitors the price and market.. It's so clear we aren't self sufficient yet The farmers are scared because of security challenges... People are dying of hunger.... Everything is expensive.. Somebody please tell Buhari I know he's very far from reality 4 Likes 1 Share |

Things are very cost now in this country today, bag of foreign rice, beans, garri, semovita are costing #29000, #35000, #23000, #4000 each. This government is roasting people in fire especially poors and needs and favouring some riches. 3 Likes |

The problem is the economy. Many Nigerians are low income earners who cannot afford their basic needs. If government creates favourable laws and policies which improve the economy, the citizens will establish organizations and industries that will employ the low income earners and increase the standard of living. By this, the government doesn't necessarily need to create direct jobs. 4 Likes 2 Shares |
