Check out what hoodlums turned ShopRite Surulere, shops and businesses on Bode Thomas and Adeniran Ogunsanya street to The hoodlums were up to 400, they include men, women, teenagers, mothers and their children. Report said they came from Orile in Keke and buses to loot a whole street |

emmanuelewumi:they plan it well they first attack the orile police station and davido and burna boy and co where fingering them ....then they moved to adeniran to loot since no more police to enforce security....Nb most of the shop attendees stay in orile and ijora |

emmanuelewumi: Who are these hoodlums? Dont they have identity? Cant they be arrested?... What I'm I missing here? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by emmanuelewumi(m): 1:22pm On Oct 22, 2020 |
ahiboilandgas: Yes most of the shop attendants, salesboys and girls, security men, cleaners, drivers live at Orile. Adeniran Ogunsanya street and Bode Thomas street are strictly commercial areas. The hoodlums operated between 9pm and 3pm. The soldiers around could not secure the whole area and they have not been instructed to shoot at sight |

handsomebolanle: Orile police station was burnt down a day before the robbery, Bode Thomas police station can't handle the numbers about 500 hoodlums. All these happened between last night and early this morning |

What is happening is very good Even the looting that happened in Monkey Village (where covid 19 palliative were wickedly hoarded) When the majority are suffering .and the haves treat the have nots with utter disdain .this is what you get Cause and effect Now what I have been warning about for long Has finally happened That "comfort bubble" that we have built will soon be burst And everything goes to s.hit Next time we will be more empathetic and less aloof and insensitive 4 Likes 1 Share |

The protest should have come to a less intense mood in its 8th day. The organisers were very naive and tactless. 2 Likes |

ahiboilandgas: I feel bad for those who lost properties Even though the media did not carry it Because the looting is large scale Looting occurred in the fringes of my own area And acquaintances lost things in their shop Thankfully nothing caught fire But like I said What you are seeing on the streets nationwide Is pent up anger and frustration A few of us have explicitly written Even in this thread That as long as they are good Nigeria is paradise And they dont care of what happens to others Now the downtrodden want us to feel part of the perpetual pain they have been feeling Next time We demand good governance And not encourage demagoguery and bad leadership Because we are not directly affected That's the point 5 Likes 1 Share |

Buhari is not affected by all of this. This is his second term. When he leaves, he will collect pension all his life. So those who feel they are hurting him are only hurting themselves and others citizens. 2 Likes |

Exactly, that is why it is not good to mix political discussions with investment discussion. Political discussions you do not get anywhere, nothing is achieved, everyone is entrenched in their own views or opinions. I am still baffled that people feel comfortable discussing politics in an investment thread, while there are thousands of thread in the Politics section. They can also create their own threads and attract like minds. 1 Like |

Dum20: But politics and investment work hand in hand. Politics shapes investments expecially in Nija. Dat said, I get ur point, it is better to limit political discussions to the ones that affect investments directly. 2 Likes |

I love Aisha Yesufu but i think she is going about things the wrong way. She is thinking emotionally not strategically. I watched some of her interviews with TVC and Arise during the early stage of the protest. She couldn't give a logical reason why protest should continue after the GOvt accepted the 5 demands. She was just beating about the bush. Talking about Govt cannot be trusted. Ok now, appoint leaders to go and make sure Govt sticks to their promise. No way. They said leaders have failed us. Instead of her to come out plain and say she want Buhari to step down. She can't say that. All fire and brimstone, no strategy. There is a reason why they teach Strategy and stakeholder management in Management schools. She was just fanning the flames. Haba. 4 Likes |

End SARS! End SARS!! End SARS!!! Now things has gotten out of hand. Business owners are getting looted here and there. Many people will regret why they started this in the first place. Every business owner down south now live in fear that his/her business isn't safe from hoodlums. Who do they run to? The police, that they've been agitating against. |

No wonder countries like China do not allow social media in their country. It can also be used as a tool to cause civil disobedient and unrest. They also do not allow unneccesary gatherings because "hoodlums" can quickly harjack it fueled by their international enemies. We have been down this road before and it is unfortunate that we are threading same path and somehow expecting a different result. Old wounds are being reopened and it seems there is no end to this. By the time people wake up from these destruction, the damage would have been extensive. Even those cheering it right now will reealize they could have explored other options at the end of the day. 3 Likes |
