This has always been my position concerning the issue.

When a purported peaceful goes beyond 5 days, especially when it infringes on the right of other citizens from moving or doing their business it will later become a violent protest.

Do you know the number of commercial bus drivers, agberos that had reduced income for two weeks when Lekki Toll gate was closed because of the peaceful protest?

When these protests started entering the inner streets, i advised and warned several of the youths that the protests will be hijacked by area boys and hoodlums and it will spiral out of their control and that they should retreat to restratigize. They refused to listen saying they do not need any advise from the older generation. They think their generation is the first in the history of Nigeria to do protests.

I have asked people where the Feminist movement that was giving daily reports and Anonymous that was hacking websites upandan gone to?. Even Radio 'Soro Soke' is off the air.

What I said is the damn truth

If Gadaffi took different decisions
The country wouldn't have been in the state it is in
The entire north africa was swept
Only libya is in turmoil today

Libya's situation is just a pity. Perhaps it would have been better to leave Gaddafi there and try sanctions.

When they started castigating the older generation I knew they were overestimating what they could do.
Tinubu was once a hero.

After that incident he had with the protesters
That was the end of his rulership

He was willing to drag his country to civil war to remain in power after 42 years

Algeria went into mass protests against Aboutefrika not too long ago
He listened to reason
And has decided to step down.after decades in power

Assuming he took a different turn
Algeria would have been in smoke as we speak

What of sudan ?
What started as protests against food and fuel price hikes snowballed into something else
All Bashir, a disgusting war criminal took a page from Gadaffi play book

How did it end ?
He was ousted by the military
Hopefully Buhari reasons well
And listen to good advice and de escalate things

Because like I said in previous comments

Decisions comes with consequence

she didn't have any plan ...just a sadist and copying oyinbo that can do civil protest.....they could have elected leaders meet govorment the the youth will be opposition party to check govt at all levels in Nigeria we lost the golden oppurnty .....Nigeria has been raped for 60 years with bad leadership and fellowship...we need a least 10 years of strategic planner and determination to reform police ,civil service, corruption ,bad human resource..etc..

Leave him: cheesy

That's my problem with his viewpoint
He is not laying the blame where the blame should be laid

At the feet of the Federal Government
Maybe he is fond of them, I dont know

After Nigerians were happy that SARS was disbanded for real
The IGP now came with "SWAT" just moments after

What do you make of that silly move?

He is calling someone who stood for what is right and mobilised a protest that scared the government for the first time since its infamous entry into Aso rock an "anarchist "
Two weeks of peaceful protests before government actors unleashed thugs on the streets
Now the thuggery they sent on the street is out of control

Now that this generation of Nigerian youths have "tasted blood"
They wont tolerate crap from the government going forward like they have been doing
And the government will think twice before making a foolish move that will set the country on fire again

She reminds me of Oshiomole of Labor days.

Rebels without a cause.

People that love to fight the establishment. Immediately the protest started, she jumped in. It's like things like that energizes them. Like it fires up their soul and spirit.

She didn't want the protest to end for her own reasons. Going from one state to another to fire up the youths.

I admire her courage in a way, but when someone is pushing you, you need to understand their motivation. She is like a warlord or military general. They only have the goal in sight. And the soldiers (protesters) are the means to an end. They will cry over your grave but continue on their mission. No retreat, no surrender.

Hopefully going forward
The government will not take the people for granted again

That repugnant "oga complex " mentality that is prevalent in nigeria MUST be expunger from within and amongst us

That's just my hope
And I believe that would be the case
No more tolerating crap

She has own share of the blame o! Govt called for dialogue. They refused. Did she think they could protest forever PEACEFULLY Without other interests hijacking it Nigeria is not America or Canada that are civilized.

You can't solve Nigeria's problems in a day. There are so many areas needing attention. Healthcare, roads, education etc. I think she hopes the protest would reach a stage where the UN or the International community will ask Buhari to step down.

But she doesn't truly understand her opponent. Baba get big head but e no dey hear word.

she wasnt having any goals or missions or vision or objective outside feeling of euphoria i have been with her in Abuja and we argue a lot to have set Goals .....example i attended the fuel subsidy prostest in kano by Nlc in 2003 my first observation was that thugs started joining and smashing all traffic lights and sign posts, next was attacking beer palours and brothels drinking all the beer and shouting religious slogan.......so we call it off so not to give religious zealots the platform to thrive ......it impossible to hold any protest in Kano ....it just impossible it must lead to riots....unless the aim was riots in the first place

I think some countries are destined to fight or suffer forever (or at least for a long time) and Libya is finally living its destiny. Crazy thought but that's the only way i can rationalize there being enjoyment countries like Canada and Iceland and suffering countries like Congo, Syria and Libya.

The followers make the leaders. This is the time to start planning for 2023 and protest with our votes. The new generation will either do a better job or a worse job.

As a matter of fact things are now better and the social media helped the last end SARS protest

* Buhari did not mention who sent the soldiers.
Hmmm! He is the commander in chief so he
will not want to indict himself.

* He mentioned that there are a lot of fake news
circulating around social media (which is true).

* He told the international community to not
jump to conclusion.

At the end of it all, the main koko is we are sorry, justice will be served but leave the streets and get back to business.

The most uninspiring speech ever!!! But i hope it works and everything settles.
