My advice was based on my experience with several applications and the functionality nature of Kenya, Nairobi immigration office. In most cases my guidance appears to be factual, however, the odds were in your favour and it was a crowned success in the end.

Congratulations! I will further advice you to courier your passport through DHL to Accra VAC for visa stamps since the Lagos and Abuja VAC is temporarily locked down due to the ongoing anarchy that has befallen Nigeria. I know a few people that have followed this route and have gotten their visas stamped (please note it's at your discretion). If possible, you can as well confirm if any of the VAC in Nigeria have started accepting passports.

It will end in praise.

Good day Frankrobbn1, please could you help me with Abuja VAC contact (Email, Phone number)?
Thanks.

Please Mr Frank
If we send it to Accra with DHL. I assume we will pay the return leg, of which I do not know the amount and include it in the package? I honestly do not know the way to go about this.
Thanks

Accra Visa Application Centre official email address : Info.canghaiom@vfshelpline.com

The first thing is to send an email to the email address above. Tell them you are Nigerian Citizen residing in Nigeria and have applied for Canadian Study visa and have received Passport request letter

Tell them you would like to find out if you can submit your Passport via courier (DHL) to Ghana and would like to request the supporting documents required to send the passport to Ghana. They would response with the documents to send.

Normally, you pay for everything (both the to and fro fee) at once. DHL has a return envelope package in which the Accra VAC will use it to send the stamped visa passport back to your mailing address.

All the best.

Good day house,

I had made an application that was denied in 2018 and I want to reapply now. One of the reasons it was denied was travel history. I am trying to explain this in my LOE and would appreciate any information I could use as I don't really know what to put in that area.

Please note that I haven't travelled out of Nigeria except to Ghana in 2008 or thereabout. I finished undergraduate study in 2016, NYSC 2017.

Thank you [color

Well noted. Thank you JustMellow.

JustMellow:

Hello Onweke,

You should thread carefully with any lump sum deposit given to be the major concern for your first application rejection. I want to believe you provided evidence to support the lump sum deposit in your first application. If you didn't or you did but didn't shed proper insight on how the funds came about, then I may want to think you're on the right track based on the name narration from the land sales and the Deed of Transfer (the copy of your survey should be photocopy) couple with Sales Receipt as the lump sum evidence.

If you feel your initial SOP is good and well-suited to address yoir reapplication study purpose, you may include it or restructure it if the need be. The LOE can focus on how well you've addressed the visa officer's concern regarding your funds.

It may even be more better to wait and run your account adequately with the available 7m. This would go a long way to demonstrate your economic level of establishment and self-sufficiency in your home country. Anything you do, ensure you clear explain and address the VO's concern convincingly that the funds isn't borrowed.

In my opinion on using a Gift Deed as POF for study permit application, I have never been a fan and I have always tried to discourage it because I have not seen or heard of a testimony. Maybe others may have seen or witness but if true, the success story maybe very few.

All the best

Hello Gurus & all Nairalanders
Would appreciate your help.

I submitted a study permit application for a Bsc in International Marketing at University of Manitoba. I have a previous Bsc. In Insurance (Graduated with 2:1) and i'm currently a Marketing and Sales Executive.

I indicated in my SOP that i picked International marketing because i wanted to understand marketing from an international perspective ,and another B.sc because Masters is advanced and i needed to understand the vital topics.
I also stated that I'd be taking over my father's business (Real Estate) upon the completion of my studies.

However,I got a refusal letter on 24th Sep 2020 on the following ground;
'I am not satisfied you will leave Canada at the end of your stay based on the purpose of your visit'.
Ordered gcmnotes which indicates proposed studies not a reasonable expense and accorded less weight to employment ties to my country of residence. Please find gcmnotes attached below.

I intend to reapply as i now have a Post Graduate admission to study Strategic Marketing Communications in Conestoga College.

I need help on how to tackle;
1. Proposed study as a reasonable expense. ( Will the PGC admission tackle this reason?) How can i prove the sudden change?
2. Employment ties. (I am employed. Submitted personal SOA).

Thank you so much for your time.

I applied again through another agent. My money was refunded after wasting one month of precious time. I applied again, late November myself. No help from anyone. i gathered all documents with small account statement. I was denied in January 2020.

Update from

Cambrian College, Sudbury. ONTARIO

From all indications,
a DLI with a COVID-19 Readiness plan is now a yardstick for an Applicant to get updates via his/her Canada Study Visa Application from IRCC. (BVL >PPR)

Honorable, I don’t think this attached picture is saying that. It’s not in anyways saying they won’t get BVL or PPR if the school is not on the list. It’s in fact saying they should keep processing their permits.

On a rare occasion do an Applicant with a 2.2 get masters.., I do hear some skools focus on the last two years if the Applicant has a str I.e 400L & 500L.

A PGD/PG. Cert/Post Baccalaureate Diploma in a program related to ur environmental biology degree or work experience is your best shot.

Google & do a research on the following programs

PG. Cert, Ecosystem Restoration
Niagara College, Ontario

PG. Cert, Bioinformatics
Seneca College, Ontario

Post-Baccalaureate Cert. in ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY
Dalhousie Agricultural Campus of Dalhousie University, Truro, Nova Scotia

PG. Cert, Environmental Monitoring & Impact Assessment (EMPD)
Cambrian College, Ontario

PG. Cert, Environmental Management & Assessment
Niagara College, Ontario

Finally,
if after u get ur Admission and u are processing ur Canada Study Visa, u av to address ur Educational Gaps (2009-2020), what u av bin doing since then academically/Work Experience etc.

Do await for more inputs from members in house

All da best!

Yes they would, but according to the response from the international dept. of the school
based on an IRCC Webinar
It says,
All the applications will be on hold if the said DLI is not yet on the list. only those application who's DLI's are on the list will be prioritised and also advances to 2nd stage.

Reason why am assuming that its applicants whose DLI are on the COVID-19 readiness plan are the ones Updates on their application.

Hopefully all will turn out well for other expectant applicants

Honorable, I doubt it has anything to do with not getting a BVL. Applications are processed by different officers and affected by so many other factors, So BVL is not always according to when the application was submitted. AIP is already pointing in a positive direction. Your friend should keep calm and stay positive.

Best wishes
Alright, thanks Hon. Chocs for the Clarification
