Trump and Elon mosk are good buddies... But I doubt you would want to fly in electric plane cheesy

Electric ships? The range of electric cars while it has improved still pales compared to gasoline and the time it takes to charge. We are getting there but we have a long way to go.

The whole problem with liberals and green energy is that they know power comes from the socket outlet.
Just buy a car with a charging plug . hook it to the port for a few hours , and you are good to go for 200 miles.

A real can drive over 400km in one single charge, and it's getting better.
That's why they are called advancement in tech. They are not stagnant. As at 30 years ago, people though GSM phones were some sort of scientific fiction devices used in Hollywood block Buster's. Remember how the initial mobile phones looked like too?
Now every grade 7 and up high school students have shiny android and iPhone.

My first HP laptop in 2001 only had a 10mb ram, and 10 GB hard drive with a floppy disk insert.

Canada is cold. Illiterates folks always try to paint the fact that we can't have battery powered cars with the Canadian climate. Guess what, Tesla drives well in winter. People drive it all the time in -40c degrees weather. Now Tesla and Benz have designed battery powered trucks which would be released soon.
BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, Nissan and just heard the other day that Hummer will go electric in their new truck. All the major car manufacturers will go the way of electric cars. That will help in stabilizing the depletion of Ozone layers. Please don't tell that to the Republicans because they don't believe in climate warming.

The batteries to make them is not renewable and you have more emissions from making those batteries li-po than you get from making gasoline.

Yes that's why we have 3 charging stations with multiple outlets in my last city of residence (10k people) which is almost a village if it were to be in America.
You see that you don't sound very bright.

Yes. In my current city, you also have the option to install solar in your home which feeds back to the grid. In summer, your bill goes to the negative (meter reads back) and you will get credits for that.

My power company also has several windmill and solar/geothermal stations. All coal fired plants are shutting down in 2030. Some are already being retrofitted for renewable energy options.

Even GMC just rolled out Hummer EV this week. That still wont tell the turd the world is moving

He can fool his fellow cultists but not people who are more knowledgeable than him.

I know which is why I said we are not there yet. But you cannot take away fossil fuel. You can use renewable energy to mitigate the amount of carbon by fossil fuel but electric energy cannot be the answer for all situations

In a few years it would be. In the tech world, it's either you join the fast moving train, or you get left behind.
If you visit a carbon fired power plant 30 years ago, you would almost think solar or wind power are jokes, but here we are now.

Automobile and Manufacturing is going renewable. That no one can deny.

With 5G, IOT and AI, A sane minded individual should be able to put into imagination the architecture and realize that we already drifting towards renewable at a fast pace

The also forget that they will need lots of batteries if they want to move on to electric cars, how do they plan extracting the materials needed from the earth without damaging it?

How many nuclear powers are even talking about going green, China and Russia are busy building up their military and these people think, China and Russia will play fair and go green.

Typical Libs, always on the LEFT side of logic.

Have been spending every Xmas with my parents since 20 years ago when they retired to Nigeria and hopefully will be there in December as usual if Trumpvirus eases up. Talking about it with my brother yesterday. I love visiting Nigeria and of all my siblings, I am the one that never far away from Nigeria. My wife and children don't care much for Lasgidi but I love the Island and my abode at Ikeja very close to Toyin round about not far from Chief MKO house and that is my personal crib.

Also... With the laws of thermodynamics... Each time you charge your battery you lose mileage so at a point you will need to replace those batteries. Again emissions problem persists but reduced too

Most children have iPhones or Android powered smart phones, the world is changing.

Yes the world is changing, but where is the power to let all the devices operate coming from.
I always go for hydro, that is usually a project of magnanimous proportions few nation's can afford to build and operate

At the same time liberals have called for banning nuclear power which is very clean new advances are being made every day for a worst case disaster scenario.

It remains oil will power the world for a few more hundred years. Developing efficient engines is a major work in progress like the Dreamliner or A380.

And feel good liberals give subsidies to companies going green. This allows these mega corps to recoup their losses in the green energy division And pay less taxes.

There is a crazy steak place in in Ikeja, not too far from Toyin street- Rhodes BBQ. I take my American friends there when I'm not on the island.

You know what watt hours are? You know the rate at which to store current? If you pack your tesla for a month without use it will run down. Battery will die. For fuel its not the case. Do you know the amount of power draw(watts) you need to lift a Boeing 737 off the ground? All those are problems with electric batteries and to charge them... They are even looking pass batteries to super capacitors. Capacitors can be fully charged in seconds but they are bad in retaining charge. That's a problem again.

Yup. The True North Canada.
A wind mill plant I worked at about 4 years ago. Zero noise and zero emission. Infact, cows were grazing around it.

Compared to the coal plant I once worked at which I hated visiting. At the coal plant, you dare not touch the railings climbing up to where the Hitachi generators were located. All your clothes and hands will be covered in sooth. Your nose would and lungs will be filled with carbon sooth. I absolutely hated that place. I am glad they are shutting it down in 2025. You can even see the sooth gathered at the base of the Hitachi generator.

Our own conservative politicians get sense unlike in the US where they fight science.
