“It's Easier to Fool People Than It Is to Convince Them That They Have Been Fooled.” – Mark Twain. Note the title, this topic is not about whether there was shooting at the scene, it is to expose the unproven massacre narrative that have plunged many states into total or partial anarchy. Some anarchists protest organizers grew impatient, just like Stalin, they needed a plausible event that will shake the world. And voila, we had the "Lekki massacre". The international community condemned the alleged "massacre" in Lekki based on unverified tweets from extremist protesters. After basking in the euphoria of being seen as human right activists, many of these tweeters have gone underground. These celebrities are now in a quandary. Unlike the illiterate mass in Nigeria who swallows everything they see on Facebook, serious organisations have been demanding for concrete evidence of a massacre but nothing have come up yet. You would expect that those who wants to destroy the country will provide the definitive proof for hundreds of dead at Lekki tollgate. Till now, nothing except some fake pictures. But their aim was achieved which is the destruction of lives and properties. Despite having various online sessions to deliberate and collect evidence, none of this massacre tweeters could provide one, not even one person who died via the shooting. Now that they have been exposed for telling unfounded story, they have turned their attention to full propaganda. What they did next is to display bullet casings and some wounded people as evidence of a "massacre". You would have been seen such videos making rounds. This also didn't stick with critical thinkers because it doesn't prove a massacre. In order for the hoaxers not to lose face, their next line of deceit is to start collecting random missing people's picture as the "missing dead" in Lekki because that is a more believable lie and difficult to debunk. One of those missing pictures being paraded as Lekki victims happens to be a man declared missing in Kogi about one month ago! I won't be surprised if they start recruiting and coaching new people to narrate the "massacre". Having being ridiculed for all the holes in their initial story, some are even claiming that it is not soldiers that shot protesters but the disbanded SARS. They want maximum emotional manipulation of the gullible. Remember, the only real evidence of a massacre are people who died from gunshot wounds! While these was going on, the smarter ones among these anarchist who don't want to be seen as irrational have been revising down their number of deaths from 100 to 78 to 15 to 12 and 4 and even 1. But they are carefully insisting on calling even 1 death unrelated to gun fire a "massacre". Words have meaning, so is massacre. We have seen the wounded in the hospital, guess what? Their body was not riddled with tissue penetrating bullets as we would expect from the tales told about soldiers firing live bullets directly into a crowd. The headlines has also been shifting from Genocide to Massacre and now Shootings as reality dawns on many commentators. Even in repressive regimes where the government controls all news and have deathly penalties such as Syria, hard evidence of a real "massacre" were presented when it happened. But be warned, if you raise this issue and ask for evidence among your friends or colleagues they are going to hate you for challenging their irrational beliefs and even call you a government agent even when some of them passionately campaigned to install the current government in 2015. The Lekki tales has broken a record. It is the first "massacre" in world history where nobody died from direct fire from soldiers. Until we see real evidence of a massacre, this remains unproven at this point. I will change my view when dead bodies from the shooting are presented. 10 Likes 4 Shares |

The useless international community, out of pure hatred for Nigeria was quick to condemn the 'massacre' but will be quiet now that the truth has come out 6 Likes |

Evil miscreants will do any thing to destroy nigeria. Imagine falz telling CNN there was a massacre. Maybe people where killed that day in lekki, about 1 or 2 persons. Their lives still matters and I strongly condemned the killings, but the way Nigerian stated shouting massacre was overwhelming. They even made a Wikipedia page named 'Lekki Massacre' That same day, many people died through the country but everyone was just interested in lekki. |

Yeah I somehow agree with you. But I know I saw someone die on DJ switch live. At best you’d have said the social media exaggerated the whole situation, not saying people did not die 1 Like |

hakeem4:I understand your position. Medical personnel would understand this better. A man had an accident and was thrown out through the wind shield. For three days, no one helped him because they believe he is dead due to his degree of injuries. When help finally arrived, he later survived after several months in the hospital. An average person cannot tell if someone is dead or not by physically examining them. It would even be more difficult to tell via video. I am not disputing shooting or even saying that it is impossible that people died that day. My point is to counter the narrative that the army massacred protesters until concrete evidence is provided of people who died from gunshot wounds. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

hakeem4: Don't mind the dimwit! Whether people died or not, army never deny they went there (Brigadier general Frank omata) and that there was shooting of the protesters. Are they suppose to shoot protesters who only had national flag and singing national anthem. |

Too late for getting paid for propaganda, the other name for the truth is the actual event or reality. These have already been established. The whole world press cannot be fooled by lies and propaganda, world powers condemning the shootings already did their forensics for evidence of Photoshop before making pronouncements. It is bad to be too desperate. |

Were soldiers there? If yes then why? Did they shoot at all? If yes then why? Who sent them? Why did the army deny their presence there and the governor acknowledged it? Why the discrepancies? Where are the people that were seen on the floor on the live videos? Are they alive or dead? Where are they especially that big lady that looked like Eniola Badmus, where is she? Why was the lights turned of at that time? Where is the CCTV footage since they said it wasn't removed? It's been 4 days!! These are the questions you lots are supposed to be asking but as usual you will avoid this comment or the mods will remove it as I've noticed recently but posterity will judge all of you for trying to defend shooting at unarmed people at all. |
Re: Lekki Tales: Beware Of Fake News by ivolt: 8:17pm On Oct 24, 2020 |
elantraceey:All these questions are proves nothing when answered. When we are discussing a massacre, the only thing that matters is dead bodies with bullet wounds. I won't answer all your questions because you will just come up with more. I should be the one questioning you for your evidence of massacre. Army denied sanctioning any killings not presence. The big lady is fine and healthy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llY8Q8nHwR0 Other irrelevant questions. If you make a claim of massacre, you must proof it according to logical rules. Prove You just reminded of zombies who claimed Buhari has a certificate. When questioned, they never present it. They start asking questions, how did he join the army, how did he become a general if he didn't have a certificate. My question to them then, why can't they present the damn certificate? My question to you now, why can't you present the damn bodies from the "massacre"? 1 Like |

ivolt: Do you have any understanding at all? I said her lookalike!! It wasn't her and I knew it from the moment the video started circulating but where is that lady? You mean people should shoot at innocent and unarmed citizens and nothing should be done about that? Where the hell is your conscience? I should give you proof of a massacre? So those in the hospital that Sanwo visited were picked up from your streets right? 1 Like |

It’s hard to understand what you wrote. You kept talking about illiterate people in Nigeria but half education you manifest is worse than being illiterate. Is it only in Lekki that Nigeria’s armed forces started to shoot and massacre unarmed civilians? No. In the east of Nigeria, Nigeria armed forces of mostly northern Nigeria origin have been shooting and massacring unarmed civilians. So why would any educated person doubt that there was massacre in Lekki? It’s only a poorly educated person who would ignore the history of massacre of civilians by Nigeria armed forces. |
