My own is that, why did the protesters choose to remain there when they knew there was a curfew?? Were they expecting the soldiers to dance and clap for them?? Though the soldiers did wrong by using life bullets, but any protester that was shot or wounded just got what he/she wanted.

Oga no one gave up on Instagram live... We saw the video too!

It is this continued twisting of narratives that set Lagos on fire. Millions are now out of jobs, property and investment vandalized and many lost.

We want answers simple. Tell us in clear terms and with evidence that this wasn't a hoax.

You don't make inciting claims that have caused wanton destruction and loss of lives and still can't substantiate them.

Many people would be made to account it's only a matter of time.
I have also wondered how people composed themselves to get their phones and start streaming Instagram live when bullets were flying as they claim. Well, I am not taking sides but l still think something is wrong somewhere and we must find out.

Apologies for the diversion....

Where is the amiable gentle military guy who calmed down a crowd of protesters a few days ago??

He needs to be honoured publicly and possibly made the PR face of a benevolent engaging Nigerian army!!!

Haven't you seen people taking pictures of accident victims taking their last breaths..

SM has so desensitised people.. Its all about the 'Gram'.

In as much as more evidences are needed to prove if the said number of deaths really occurred as speculated, there is no where in the world where security personnel using firearms with live bullets to disperse a peaceful protest is ever justified.

If wall no open, lizard no go fit enter.

Dont mind their attempts to take people for a ride and rewrite the story. There is what is called circumstancial evidence.

Brigadier General Omata confirmed the military were there as he came to recall his men. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.withinnigeria.com/2020/10/21/brigadier-francis-omata-clears-the-air-on-lekkimassacre-names-officer-who-led-the-operation/amp/

Patrick Utomi confirmed there was shooting at the protesters. When you open fire on unarmed protesters, you want to kill them. Asking for dead bodies as evidence later to cover and rewrite your misdeeds is playing on our intelligence. Nobody fires a gun at another with good intentions.

In thier attempt to prove intelligent and smart, they expose thier gullible and ignorant nature. I baffles me that they don't know evidence can be removed or planted in any given scenario. That's the first step in winning any battle.
Recall that there were no mobile phones in the year 2000 as we have now. We only relied on traditional media for everything then.

However, this is a different age and case. Everyone at the Lekki Toll Plaza that day had phones on them, and, of course, the videos we saw were taken by them.

So, you expect them to also capture those who were dead already. They could have also captured the moment solders were carting the dead bodies away, as claimed.

It's not out of place if one seeks to know this fact, so one can be sure of what he is passing around. Or what do you think?

I have a simple question for u. Please answer it with all honesty.

Did u believe there were shootings by the military at the lekki toll gate on the said Tuesday night?
I know there was truly shootings but I don't believe army came there purposely to kill people... They may shoot onto the air to scarce people but not to kill them.

You can ask Sanwo Olu

asanwafo:
Where are the relatives of those killed. If someone said nobody was killed and u know one person, wouldn't u release the pic and the name for people to see? Since people have been talking about Lekki massacre, no name or picture has been shown. Truly Nigerians deserve good governance but i thin lieing against gov't is a no-no to getting it.

I don't think that could happen

Seun it's about time you addressed us and tell us why you still retain these APC Mods.

A particular MOD has been moderating this forum for 6yrs now and running . That MOD does not and can not hide his bias and has proven by his actions and inactions that he is here to only enforce the APC govt narrative and to censor any other opposing view while promoting shamelessly lies and propaganda like what the paid APC Buharist shill of an OP is peddling here.

I have been a regular activs poster here since 2009 and have been lurking far longer, prior to this particular MOD, majority of previous moderators have never spent more than 6mths in their position. They either tire out or get something better doing

Why are you still maintaining this particular moderator since 2013/2014 despite the avalanche of complains surrounding him?

This forum may be owned by you, but it is us the posters that provide the content which drives it.

Nairaland is thus not a publisher but a platform and since we the posters have complained to you relentlessly about this particular MOD you have refused to act on our complaints .

Your actions have proven that you are no different than those in authority who disregard the people . In this case , you are meant to please us and not dictate nor ignore us.

In the revolutiinary spirit , I hereby demand that you sack and permaban this highly biased , partisan and ignoble moderator.
