So I prepared this stir fry spaghetti yesterday, but due to the domestic incident that followed it's consumption I couldn't post.

So I prepared the spag and devoured it almost immediately, but when I was done eating I noticed I was experiencing some discomfort somewhere down my throat. Then it hit me, the shell/Legs of the dried prawn I used for the spag had hooked my throat and was causing serious pain.

I tried everything I could to have it forced out but I couldn't. The more I tried, the more the pain down my oesophagus increased. I even dipped my hands down my throat to throw up as much as I can but yet the particle causing the pain never came out. I even followed some YouTube videos that required one to take coke or olive oil when food particles get stuck in the throat but nothing came out.

I eventually ended up in the hospital. The doctor who happens to be a childhood friend whom we grew up together in Sunday school told me I just have to keep drinking warm water and allow the particle drop down my stomach by itself over time. An alternative to this is for her to refer me to ENT specialist who will perform a procedure and remove it. She gave me a drug to relieve the inflammation around the area sha.

Well, I woke up this morning and it appears like she predicted the particle already dropped down my stomach. I only feel slight pain from the sore the particle made from my constant efforts at trying to force it out yesterday.

Why am I posting this long story? It's for us all to be careful when swallowing these food items especially seafood. As we keep safe this period, let's also eat safe ó. For me no more dried prawn in meals for now cheesy
So this nice looking meal caused you so much pain? Glad to know you feel better already. Pele!

Akposy no get military mind. It is the same way he briefly disappeared when trolls made fun of his ewa agoyin photos, and now he wants to leave for reasons I can't fathom. I am pretty sure he was banned by the anti-spam bot because he doesn't post much in other sections and except the Food section.

You can't be on Nairaland without having a thick skin. Ignore the trolls and naysayers and keep doing what you enjoy doing is what I will say to him.

I hope he returns after a while.

I wanted to suggest that he either ignores the trolls or does it Poco-style and makes the hunters the hunted grin but remembered that he is a gentle soul and that ignoring them would be more like him. I really love his gentle spirit but the trolls are really not worth it.

Trolls came for chasers and he deactivated.
Trolls came for apkosy and he decided to run away.

Truth is some people are giving too much power to trolls, with their constant deactivation and running off the trolls will feel the need to come back here to feed on another prey. I've always said it that if you don't have a thick skin you can't survive on social media, you really need it.

Poco, airforce, sarrki, omen.ka and mannabbqgrill.s are the most trolled individuals on nairaland but they never deactivated because deactivating doesn't mean you prefer your peace of mind it means you're succumbing to what those trolls want.

If it is peace of mind or good mental health you want, you can achieve that by ignoring trolls. It's that simple.

As far as I am concerned, I choose to ignore. Not worth my energy. They can keep their negativity to themselves.

I dey ignore now sef. They still give me mentions steady. I learned a lot from wicked Buhari during this protest o, ignoring fit make people craze grin. Any troll quoting me now is on his own, it won’t stop me from posting nonsense the next minute.

Maybe I will have mercy one day and engage someone. It will be ugly but it will teach people not to mistaken kindness for weakness.

Why leaving? This thread has been one of my favorite section since i discovered it nd was inspired by wonderful people on this thread including you!!

It is so heartbreaking we allow what internet trolls says affect us cry
Do you know hw many insults i get on nairaland, sometimes they trolled me on food section that you even witnessed but will never stop me from posting nor deactivating! You should know on internet you will experience different beings including the trolls but you shouldn't let it get to you!!

But if you need to get your mental health in check it is understandable, you can take a break nd come back when you want to.

For the trolls that will come on food section to discredit ones effort you are the problem!!
. Its really baffling how some group of trolls will just decide to hurt ones feeling not knowing their mental health status. A lot of people are going through a lot that you can't even begin to imagine. Akposy stop making this people get to you, simply ignore them, make them feel so insignificant as they are, trust me it gets to them.

They are all conquered territories and there is nothing new that they can say- to you or to me.

Have it in mind that there are not many trolls, it is few persons with multiple IDs. I know one with 8 IDs, all dedicated to me. I have tried to troll a few persons for trolling me, but when I logout, do things in reality- I come online and forget. So for someone to have the zeal to keep trolling you continuously, it should tell you the person is the problem, not you. It takes a high degree of bitterness to sustain the energy for trolling! There is nothing like “it is not personal”, it always is!!
