Does anyone have an interview tomorrow 26th at the Lagos embassy? |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Predstan: 12:48am On Oct 25, 2020 |
orlahtohbadt: You should talk more about your GPA than the class of your degree especially when it’s related to studying in America. Your GPA and your last 2 years where you did your core courses are what matter |

Jaytee116: Employment history and maybe age matter a lot in these situation if you don’t have funding. If you checked these two, you are good to go. |

Goodmorning all, pls I have some important questions to ask 1. I heard some schools in the US have waived GRE due to COVID 19...is it true bc I haven't written one and I intend to apply for admission 2 I have a bachelor in pharmacy and I intend to go for a masters degree..my CGPA is 4.41/5 and 3.64 with WES. What ae my chances of getting a scholarship or an assistantship? 3. Hope age 32 isn't bad for a masters degree? |

Agnestardom: I presume that you're an F1 student, so you should fill in I20. DS190 is for J1 students I think. 1 Like |

Stalon99:Yes it makes you appear as a potential immigrant but you can overcome with some other home ties, like you spouse and/or children (if you are married), a good job waiting for you to come back (maybe with promotion), a business you run and so on. In short, there's no law that says you cant use your bro based in the US, you just need to prove home ties |

[quote author=Sharon8 post=95307278] I was supposed to have but it was canceled. Does your own appointment still stand?[/qu1ote] Good morning great people. Pls, I have been finding it difficult to book an appointment for interview. Always displaying no date available. Kindly assist. |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Muleriders: 9:24am On Oct 25, 2020 |
orlahtohbadt: Predstan: He has said it all. US system doesn't use class but grades. You have to evaluate your transcript to 4.0 us scale to know where you belong. Also, funding depends on your proposed school and field of study. Generally, STEM fields have higher funding rates than other fields. Lastly, mail your graduate or program coordinator of the proposed schools to enquire about funding. P.S. if at all you will get funding, it cannot be a FULL FUNDING because the higher graders aren't even getting it all. Warm regards. |

BGodsonMay: I think the fund is too small. You dont have any funding from the school and you can only show just a teeny little over one year's estimate. Do you think its enough to convince a consular? Secondly, who is your sponspor? If it is uncle or other relation, how do you justify an uncle giving you all the money in his account for studying? Please mull over these 1 Like |

nanoparticle: 1. Yes, many schools waived the GRE while some still insist on it 2. Yes you have a good GPA, but I think there is a separate procedure for applying to pharmaceutical courses for a masters degree. I am not quite certain. Do more research. 3. Your age is okay |
