Double Dating gives you the feeling of getting double the benefits you get when you date one person while adding a little pleasure of adventure to it. However as every other thing, it comes with its dangers or disadvantages. Here are 6 of them:

Dating one person demands you invest a reasonable amount of your time in it. You have to spend time with him/her to get to know them better, go on dates and do other fun things to spice up the relationship. Now imagine having to do these for two persons, you have to invest double your time which could have been put into other productive activities.

2. Double The Stress

More time invested means more stress accumulated. Relationships sometimes require you go out of your way to do things outside your normal routine just to please your partner. That’s called sacrifice! Now you have two or more, that’s double the sacrifice, which means double the stress! Don’t forget also that arguments and misunderstandings are part of every normal relationship, you get double of that too!

3. Waste Of Resources

Dating doesn’t only require your time, it also requires your money too! No matter how understanding and non demanding your partner could be, you still have to spend to get things moving. The dates, gifts, fun outings and even the bus fare to go see them. Since you have got two, you enjoy double the pleasure, you will have to spend double the money to keep it running.

4. More Lies

You will need to be a very good and creative liar to successfully double date. You make one mistake or you are getting suspected, then you will need lies to cover up. When the lie seems not to be adding up, you will need another to strengthen it up. Another lie will require another one to keep flying and you will need to remember them all to construct future lies. You have to do these for two or more partners and keeping records of what you told each. That’s a whole lot of creativity!

5. The Health Risk

Being in multiple sexual relationships at same time means are you having sex with more than one person within same period of time. There are several sexually transmitted diseases out there and new ones keep popping out daily. If you are not careful, you could contract any and then struggle with getting cured. If you are unlucky and it’s not curable then you have to live with the consequences of your actions, isn’t that too much risk?

6. The Physical Risk

One flip side of double dating is that you could emotionally hurt one or more of your partners. The heartbreak could be more stronger and painful if they have spent a lot of time with you and invested all of their emotions and even money hopping to spend the future with you. This could lead to depression and if not managed could result in mental breakdown. If at this stage they conceive the idea of revenge, that could really put you in danger. You can’t possibly imagine, predict or fathom the physical harm a heartbroken mentally unstable person could do.

So with the above you would agree it’s easier, cheaper, safer, less time consuming and less stressful to just stick to one person and love them whole heartedly. Wouldn’t you rather be on the better side?
