Good to see that there are a lot more Nigerians in the NE than I originally thought. I have worked in Grimsby and live close by, but my working career has taken me around most remote towns in the NE. The NE is a hidden goldmine for healthcare professionals, most people tend to think that London and the south is where the money is.[/quote]

What is the most profitable method of taking ones savings from a 9ja account to UK?

An option was--Opening a pound domiciliary account (knowing that black market pound rate is expensive to fund the account)

Or which method is advised?

Asking for one who would travel to the UK before the year ends.

Hope you have factored in the $100 monthly withdrawal limitations, placed on Nigerian bank accounts by the CBN........... cheesy

This is only applicable to spendings from Naira account abroad. Currently in most bank, domiciliary account can move up to 10k USD every 2 weeks

This is your only viable option (including any pounds to naira in Nigeria deal a private individual might offer you).
You can't transfer any meaningful amount of naira out of Nigeria as most banks have limits around $200.

The reality is that it’s difficult to bypass the black market. Even if you open a domiciliary account, you will still need to source the FX to be deposited there from black market as I am not sure Nigerian banks will sell FX for you to deposit in a domiciliary account.
With black market. You can leave the Naira in your Nigerian account. When you get here, you will either
1. sell the Naira on this platform like a number of people do or
2. If you will be based in London. Walk into any of the Nigerian BDC stores and sell to them. They will give you £ in cash and some of them can transfer to your £ account. Transfer to your account is preferable because UK banks can be moving mad with large sum deposits.

Yes Leeds is not far from Bradford but commuting will cost you more ,so why not get a place in Bradford? Bradford is an affordable city, areas like BD1 and 7 are very close to the university so you don't need to spend money on transportation for lectures or shopping as the university is just 2mins away from the city centre.

Leeds to Bradford by train is about 19-20mins while bus is about 35-40mins depending on the bus route. Leeds is a lovely city no doubt but a lot more expensive compared to Bradford.

Both cities have train and bus stations and share one airport but Leeds is like the transport hub of West Yorkshire.

You can also apply to Leeds university or Leeds Met university or one other university in that city if you really want to live in that city.

After studying and as a graduate, you should be prepared to relocate for that role you seek

Exactly what I was going to say. I schooled in Bradford, and everyone I know who got a job after school moved South or the midlands. No where near bradford.

It’s true @ mostly Asian community. But it’s still a very diverse town. Honestly I was there as a single lady so I don’t know how it will be for someone with kids but I loved bradford. And as for jobs, you will most likely move to wherever you find a job.

Also I’m not sure which course you are doing but Bradford is known for being quite intense. You will benefit from being close to campus.

That’s my opinion though but it’s been a while so things might have changed.

All the best.

I honestly thought that applies to only 9ja operated accounts.
That is the normal account (not hard currency)

Thanks for all your response so far

For those resident in or knowledgeable about northern Lincolnshire (Grimsby) other than the regular NHS job what other side opportunities does the location offer?

And for a person relocating there soon, what key information would be relevant to know?

Thanks for the response
