Still don't know why people still depends on book, Bleep all religious and theirs lie's
live4dgospel:
Matthew 12:31-32

"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come."

What really constitutes this unforgivable sin? This is a fearful sin nobody would want to commit, right? Because Jesus Himself said that such sin cannot be forgiven either in this world or in the world to come. Today, I would like to shed light on this unforgivable sin and the responsibility of every human being born on this earth. What is the unforgivable sin? If someone says to someone who is speaking in strange tongues, "Shut up!". Does it mean he has committed the unforgivable sin? If someone criticizes prophets and pastors, has he committed the unforgivable sin? Because of this many Christians are afraid of speaking up against all these false miracles, signs, prophecies being propagated by these ministers. I know they think this way because of the scenario that led Jesus to talk about the unforgivable sin. In verse 24 it is written "Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”
This is exactly what gave people the misconceptions of the unforgivable sin. What led the Pharisees to utter those words? It because they didn't believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and their long awaited Messiah. In order words, they didn't believe in the Word of God. It is from the heart the mouth speaks, and God looks at the heart and not just spoken words (1 Samuel 16:7).
In verse 25 it written "But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand." That Jesus knew their "thoughts", means Jesus knew their unbelieving hearts, He considered their thoughts not just their spoken words.

Dear fellow Christians, the unforgivable sin is the sin of unbelief. Whosoever commits this one sin cannot be forgiven. Some sins like fornication, murder, theft etc committed out one's weakness can be forgiven. But this sin of unbelief in the gospel of salvation is an unforgivable sin, which one decidedly commits all the days of his life. I mean someone who does not believe in the gospel of Jesus today might believe tomorrow, so the sin of refusing to believe in the gospel of salvation of Jesus Christ till the very end is the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Let's ponder on this for a moment, how can someone be forgiven when he refuses to believe in the way of salvation? If he commits adultery and has received the way of salvation, his sin is forgiven, if he commits murder and has received the gospel of salvation, his murder is forgiven. How then will he be forgiven when he has rejected the very gospel of salvation? Imagine a man drowning in the ocean, a boat man comes around him, straights forward his hand and says "Give me your hand, let me take you in to my boat", to rescue the drowning man inside his boat. If the drowning man consistently refuses to accept the help, if he insists, "Don't worry, I can swim myself out of this ocean", will he be saved? Absolutely not. Therefore, the very sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the sin of unbelief.
Let me explain this in greater details, Nicodemus came to Jesus by night for the fear of the Pharisees. He believed in Jesus but he wanted to learn more from Him, therefore he came to Him by night so that other Pharisees might not speak ill of him. He came to know the way of salvation which other Pharisees rejected. What did Jesus say to him?
He said “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (John 3:5).
This very gospel of the water and the Spirit is the only way to enter the kingdom of God, so rejecting this gospel till the end is the unforgivable sin. God the Father planned our salvation, God the Son fulfilled it by coming to this world wearing human flesh, have our sins transferred to his head during baptism, and paid the price for sins with His own blood on the cross and rose again the third day, having obtained eternal redemption for those who believe. What is then the work of God the Holy Spirit? It is to bear witness of this gospel. 1 John 5:6
"This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth."
Therefore anyone who refuses to believe in the witness of the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ came by the water of His baptism and the blood of His crucifixion cannot be forgiven either in this world or in the world to come.

I don't use strong words... You, however, may feel strongly about the words I use, and that is all you, not me.
Yes!
Yes, I can. I know what Scripture says, and can compare what the @OP typed up against what Jesus Christ indeed said.
Here's the thing. There are doctrines and traditions which we are warned against by Jesus Christ Himself, and then there is the truth of God. That it has become a common practice these days for people to formulate, and spread one's own meaning of what is written and taught by Jesus Christ, does not mean Jesus Christ endorses it in any way. Anything that is contrary to what Jesus Christ taught is nothing but a lie.
Gal 6:1:
"Brothers, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted."

Well, I am sorry but I am not a Paulian... I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and I love the way Jesus Christ, my Master took to rebuking the lying Pharisees instead. grin
Also, one who is my brother is, as Jesus Christ said, one who obeys the Will of God. The will of God is that He and He alone be our one and only Teacher. And it is from Him that our understanding should come from.

You mean like Peter did when He denied Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ never said apostasy is a sin. Let's us not now create for ourselves sin where God has not Himself defined it thus.
The scripture or Paul's opinion? It is not your place to bring anyone back... if such a person had the Spirit of God inside of him at the time he chose to abandon God, then it is up to the Spirit, not man, or even Paul, to restore such a person.
Jesus Christ said He will never lose anyone that the Father has given Him. So, it is

Now all scripture was written by the inspiration or the Holy spirit.

Talking about Peter denying Jesus, Peter was not even born again when he did that so he wasn't qualified to commit the unforgiven sin. Peter became born again after the death and ressuration of Christ. He was only restored back by Jesus.

I am not certain that your assumptions about Peter's born-again status before the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are entirely accurate. undecided

While Jesus Christ was with them, His disciples were able to heal the sick, cast out demons, baptize persons, and even pray and receive from God. Peter enjoyed many of the blessings enjoyed by those who are born again today. Even greater, Peter had Jesus Christ with Him as His Teacher/Master/Comforter/Counselor/Guide/Helper, and all this while Jesus Christ was still alive with them.
He, Peter, was even guaranteed, along with the other disciples, by Jesus Christ Himself, a place in the Kingdom of Heaven by His, Jesus Christ's side. So, what is it that a born again has, that a born again, has that Peter did not have at the time in question? undecided

Another thing you have to bear in mind, Peter's betrayal was part of God's plan for Peter, it seems.

Luke 22 vs 31-34 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
31. “Satan has asked to test you men like a farmer tests his wheat. O Simon, Simon,[c]
32. I have prayed that you will not lose your faith! Help your brothers be stronger when you come back to me.”
33. But Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, I am ready to go to jail with you. I will even die with you!”
34. But Jesus said, “Peter, before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will say you don’t know me. You will say this three times.”

Also, remember that at the last Passover dinner, Jesus Christ had informed Peter that Satan (who I suspect to be God's quality control manager) had requested that Peter be tested. Review what Jesus Christ said in verse 31 of the passage above. Peter was to be tested like a farmer tests His wheat... are you not quickly reminded of the Parable of Wheat and Weeds on reading that? Peter was already likened to Wheat by Jesus Christ, meaning He was a good seed planted in the Kingdom of God, same as all those who are born again.

Matthew 13 vs 24 - 30 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
24. Then Jesus used another story to teach them. Jesus said, “God’s kingdom is like a man who planted good seed in his field.
25. That night, while everyone was asleep, the man’s enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat and then left.
26. Later, the wheat grew, and heads of grain grew on the plants. But at the same time the weeds also grew.
27. Then the man’s servants came to him and said, ‘You planted good seed in your field. Where did the weeds come from?’
28. “The man answered, ‘An enemy planted weeds. The servants asked, ‘Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?’
29. “He answered, ‘No, because when you pull up the weeds, you might also pull up the wheat.
30. Let the weeds and the wheat grow together until the harvest time. At the harvest time I will tell the workers this: First, gather the weeds and tie them together to be burned. Then gather the wheat and bring it to my barn.’”

Hi live4dgospel,
This is it, apostle Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit and that was very obvious. Ananias was debating with apostle Peter.
Apostle Peter knew Ananias deeds because the Holy Spirit revealed it to him, yet Ananias was still claiming right thereby lying against the Holy Spirit who revealed everything to apostle Peter. Note: Eveything the Apostle was saying that moment was from the Holy Spirit. There is no way the Apostle would know what he deed exempt the Holy Spirit revealed it to him. He wasn't there.
Nice try but no, that is not even close to what happened.

When Jesus Christ spoke to the Pharisees, He told them all the truth of God, direct from the Spirit of God living inside of them. Of course we know that the Pharisees, on several occassions too, believed themselves right thereby lying against the Holy Spirit of God, in the manner that you claim. But there is absolutely no single record of any one of those old covenant believers died in the instant- loosing any change of ever repenting from the lie told.
HKGODSWILL:
That is why we are told never to judge any prophet because prophet are filled with the Holy Spirit.
Now, how does that apply today?
We are not told not to judge any prophet. What you claim above has no bearing in the words of Jesus Christ at all.
In fact, Jesus Christ warned people against accepting the words of prophets for their many out there who are not of God, and certainly should not be listened to. Instead He commanded His followers to listen to Him and only Him.
HKGODSWILL:
1.When you perform a miracle or heal someone with the power from evil sources to deceive people and claim is the Holy Spirit, you are blaspheming against the Holy Spirit.
According to Jesus Christ, blasphemy against the Spirit of God is not just any ordinary sin. It is an unforgivable sin. So stop pretending any sin qualifies as the sin of blasphemy. Jesus Christ was strict on what qualified and the consequence of such a sin.
HKGODSWILL:
2. When you recieve a revelation about someone or something from an evil source and claim is from the Holy Spirit, you are blaspheming against the Holy Spirit.
Stop making things up!
HKGODSWILL:
3. When you recieve a revelation from the Holy Spirit and claim is from You or other source you are blaspheming against the Holy Spirit . And so on.....
Again, stop lying!

Some Sins against the Holy Spirit.
(1)False Prophecy- since the spirit of God gives accurate prophecy any false prophet just tried to disgrace the Holy spirit but has condemned himself forever.
(2) Wrong Doctrine - Teaching people how to speak in tongues and wilfully speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is meant to be influenced by the Holy spirit, you are not supposed to have an idea that you spoke in tongues except people understand the foreign tongue or someone also led by the spirit is interpreting your tongues.
(3) Profiting from the gifts of the spirit. Remember Elijahs servant? Yea he tried to profit from the gift of healing bestowed on his master and you know what happened to him. Even Jesus warned his descliples not to profit from the spirit during the great commissioning.
(4) Suicide - many soldiers and paramilitary personnel will disagree with me because of their training (eg, if I see a hoard of ISIS heading towards me and I am running out of ammo, I will gladly spare some for myself than let them capture me alive)However a Christian is not allowed to take his life because the spirit of God dwells in you and by taking your life, you have just cut short the work of the spirit.
Here's the problem with assuming you define anything you are afraid of as sin, you set yourself against Jesus Christ Himself i.e. you become an anti-Christ element.

Unpardonable SIN: It is to neglect the God given Powers within you.

Sin against the Holy Spirit: It is to ignore the Holy Spirit within you. It is to use your conscious energies, when the Holy Spirit is available to do so much more for you.
"Ye stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, do always resist the Holy Ghost" Acts 7;51

Unpardonable SIN: It is to waste the Mighty energy the Father has given you. It is to fail to harness it to your needs, to your worthy desires.

Sin against the Holy Spirit : To ignore Him, to lack initiative or Faith to call Him to your side, to go through life without an inspiration, without a guiding hand from the Holy Spirit within.
Lk 12:10

What is the blasphemy here? By scorning the the power latent in Him, by ridiculing the idea that anything good is within our reach if only we seek His guiding Spirit.
Wrong! Read what Jesus Christ said, instead of trying to make up your own truth, pretending you can do so on behalf of God.

He convinces, convinces you to truths

When you know its true but say it's not. Like saying there's no God even after looking at the earth, stars, moon, sun, earth atoms etc and seeing design, order, purpose and saying it's not true
If you are still alive after telling such a lie, you have not committed the unpardonable sin at all. You have just committed a sin and your sins can still be forgiven you if you repent.

An unpadonable sin is the continuous /willfull rejection of the holy spirit's conviction/pricking. Bye and bye the holy ghost will be grieved and abandons his work of convicting the person any longer; hence the person will become hardened (because the holy ghost have stopped convicting him) and eventually become and apostate (state of no return, no repentance, doomed for hell). The grief'ing of the holy Spirit is the unpardonable/unforgivable sin .

Dear nairalander, today if you would hear His voice, harden not your heart. Grief not the holy Spirit. Behold today is the day of salvation as long as you are still sensitive to the pricking of the Holy Spirit.
Wrong! Even continuous willful rejection of the Spirit of God's conviction, which is what the world of sinners, even those who believe, live everyday, is forgivable. If at any time, the person in question chooses to repent, he/she will in fact be forgiven by God. So, what you described is just sin, but not the unpardonable sin at all.

Please learn to open your eyes to learn exactly what Jesus Christ is teaching instead of injecting your assumptions into His truth, thinking you do so on behalf of God.

Abayolaid:
who ever blasphem must die, either agais god or man (leveticus 24:10-16)
That is the old Covenant version which is blasphemy against God.
Similar to the Old Covenant, the New Covenant version of Blasphemy, is not against God but against the SPirit of God living inside of those who are followers of Jesus Christ. And yes, the penalty seems to be also death since the only way God will ever refuse to forgive a person of his/her sin is if that person is dead. Hence another reason why the story of Ananias and Sapphira fits squarely as an example of the sin of blasphemy in the New Covenant. The moment each of them emitted the lie against the Spirit of God, death took them, robbing them of any possible moments of repentance, hence unforgivable.!

To blaspheme against the Holy Spirit is to have tasted of Him, experienced His fellowship, and then go back to deny His existence.

Why is this the unforgivable sin?

You see sin is dealt with by the Cross through the death of Jesus Christ, but the experience of forgiveness of sins is communicated by the Holy Spirit.

So if you come around to deny His existence, by what means would you be forgiven?

It's like me sending $500 to you, but you vehemently shout that banks do not exist.
You will never claim the money!
So that's how it works.
A backslide is not an unforgivable sin. Please stop trying to ADD to the commandments and truth of God.

The Spirit of God is the promise of the father, the gift poured out on all men. Denying him or speaking against him by ascribing his works to Belzeebub is going against the very power of God within ( the spirit of grace and truth). Re: What Is The Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit, The Unforgivable Sin? by felvick(m): 8:39am On Oct 26, 2020
The sin in question here is not the sin of unbelief. It is the sin of speaking, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. The Bible says the sin of speaking against the Holy Spirit can not be forgiven even here on earth.
If you think it is the sin of unbelief Jesus was talking about there, that means you are also saying that if one had unbelief, and then realises he was wrong all along and asks for forgiveness and confesses his sins, he won't be forgiven, because Jesus said that the sin against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven of any man even here on earth. Then that should now mean that all of us who had been unbelievers before, but have now asked for forgiveness and given our lives to Christ are not yet forgiven, because Jesus said the sin against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven of us even here on earth.
So I disagree that it is the sin of unbelief, rather, it is the sin of speaking, blasphemy or mockings, not against Jesus but against the Holy Ghost, whether you are a Christian or an unbeliever. So we should all be careful.

Itt tells you all that you need to know about it.

These 2 details are very important in understanding the sin of blasphemy as described by Jesus Christ

1. Sin of Blasphemy is a sin against the Spirit of God only
2. Sin of Blasphemy is unforgivable

In the book of Jeremiah we are told that in the New Covenant that God has made with us, that God will forgive our sis and will remember our sins no more.

Jeremiah 31 vs 31-34 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
31. “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32. not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord.
33. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
So, why would a God who made this declaration, decide not to pardon a sin against His own Spirit? Did God change His mind? Did God lie? What is it that results from committing that sin that makes it unpardonable? 4

By asking yourself some simple questions, you might in fact figure out that the result of these sins is immediate death, like in the case of Ananias and Sapphira, and the case of Herod, all in the book of Acts. They never got a chance to ask God for forgiveness for the sin they had committed against the Spirit of God -- hence the reason the sin of Blasphemy is called Unpardonable.

Blasphemers in the Old Covenant are put to death, according to God's law... the people gathered and stoned such persons to death (no trial suggested). In the book of Acts, an example of this is revealed where the Jews, helmed by Saul of Tarsus, stoned Stephen, the deacon, to death, following the Old Covenant blasphemy law, where God set the people of Israel as judge, jury and executioner over those who blasphemed. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
In His New Covenant, however, the punishment for the sin of blasphemy is carried out by the Spirit of God living inside of the followers of Jesus Christ. He, the Spirit of God who is also the Seal of the New Covenant is the judge, jury and executioner of those who Blaspheme His person, and from examples, His decision is near-instant, denying the blasphemer any chance at repentance. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

But the 7 foolish virgins and the site servant's sin was not pardoned.
I am sorry but what has the parables in question to do with this? They have absolutely nothing to do with the Sin of Blasphemy.
infogenius:
Well, you can stick to the plain language u read Bro. The way you understand scriptures is different from mine. So our opinions must differ.
I don't only read the Word of God, I see it Bro.
May God give us understanding
God does not lie! He does not create different truths for different people. Suggesting that we should read the same commandments of Jesus Christ and come away with different truths is being dishonest for there is only one truth and that Truth is Jesus Christ. Any other that does not correspond with what is written is a lie!

So, why would a God who made this declaration, decide not to pardon a sin against His own Spirit? Did God change His mind? Did God lie? What is it that results from committing that sin that makes it unpardonable? 4

If you are still alive after telling such a lie, you have not committed the unpardonable sin at all. You have just committed a sin and your sins can still be forgiven you if you repent.

Of course. But the problem with absolute negation is change. It's easier for the sun to stop shining than the pathological liar to stop lying, that's why the devil is called father of all liars.

You're not lying to survive, get out of a pickle or to help someone, but lying against the Holy Spirit just for lies sake.

Roman's 9:17
Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

A programmer will understand this, some were created for destruction, a specific purpose. So they're just following script, of their own free will

A gift poured out on ALL MEN? Since the Spirit of God is the seal of the New Covenant that is Jesus Christ, are you suggesting that ALL men are then born of the Spirit and into the New Covenant? undecided

Also, ascribing His works to Beelzebub? Denying Him or speaking against Him? undecided
To be honest, I don't understand this post.
But then if you have a counter point, why not clearly state it like I have stated mine, so I know what your standpoint is on the issue.
Only then can the discussion become clear to me.

look closer! My post there is filled with questions, not counter points. I am trying to extract from you more details to help me better understand the statements made.

ILoveDemMANNA:
Jesus said, “I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come

Why is this sin “unforgivable?” Jesus said, “Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven” (Mt. 12:31).
God is not unwilling to forgive.
God gave his Son to die for our sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, because of his boundless grace.
What makes this sin unforgivable is the offender’s unwillingness to repent and believe.
Conscious and hardened resistance to the truth leads man away from humility and repentance, and without repentance there can be no forgiveness.

Yes unbelief is the very sin against the Holy Spirit.
It is not overstatement to say that people go to hell simply because they didn't believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit while they are still alive. Fellow Christians, God send humans to hell for failing to believe in His Son's work of salvation. God Himself knew our human weakness because He remembered that we are dust "For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust."(Psalm 103:14) This verse is telling us that God knew our insufficiencies so He sent His Son Jesus Christ, had Him be baptized by John the Baptist transferring all the sin of the world from Adam's sin to the sin of the last person to born on earth to the head of Jesus during His baptism. Jesus carried the sins to the cross nailing them on cross by shedding His own blood and suffering vicariously on our behalf. He rose again the third having obtained eternal redemption for those who believe in this. (Hebrews 9:12)

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."(John 3:18)
It is written here the he who does not believe in Jesus is already condemned not because he has committed murder, not because he has committed adultery, just because he doesn't believe in the only begotten Son of God. Put differently the sins of those who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit are not accounted for them. In Romans 4:6-8 it is written

"just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.” (Paul quoted from Psalm 32:1, 2). It written here "Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin." In order words, anyone who doesn't believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit which Jesus brought to us, his sins will be laid on his head, they will die for their sins because the wages of sin is death.

Again it is written in John

"And when He(the Holy Spirit) has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged."(John 16:8-11)
Why will the Holy Spirit convict the world of sin? It is written here "of sin, because they do not believe in Me"
In the time frame of God all human sins have been forgiven. God has told us to believe what He has accomplished through Jesus. Failing to believe this is the very sin against the Holy Spirit, the unforgivable sin. Those who refused to believe in Bronze Serpent which Moses lifted up in the wilderness all died of snake bites. But those who believed by raising up the heads and looked at the Bronze Serpent were all healed without fail.
What more can I say? The unforgivable sin is the sin of unbelief.

Righteousness89:
When you Speak against or Contend with what the Spirit of God is Doing , it's a Blasphemy. E.g.
Insulting or Speaking against a Genuine Servant of God or against what GOD is doing through him/her.

Conciously Misinterpreting the Bible for fun or to mislead others is Blasphemy..
The Word of God Contains the Spirt of God.

One who Conciously turns what God is doing to Merchandise!!

Lying with the name of the Holy Spirit..

Making use of the doings of the Holy Spirit to Joke..
What the man in Rome just did is an act of Grieving the Spirit of God..

There are so many things!

We Just need to be careful in life not to Grieve the Spirit of God!

You are misguided!
