×Southampton Nathan Tella, Fulham Adarabiyio Cleared To Play For Nigeria In AFCON 2021 Qualifiers* owngoalnigeria.com Per reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team, the duo of Tosin Adarabiyio and Nathan Tella are free to play for Nigeria in the next AFCON 2021 qualifiers. Both players are in the English Premier League and eligible for England as well but at the moment a call up by Nigeria looks more likely considering they won’t be needing any form of approval by FIFA to play for Nigeria. 21 year old Nathan Tella was mentioned by the trusted assistant of the coach of the Nigerian team Tunde Adelakun while speaking on players likely to switch allegiance to Nigeria. It is believed that for Adelakun to publicly speak about him means he is on the radar of the coaches and if he could make himself a mainstay in the team of Southampton then he will no doubt get a call up. Tella hasn’t been capped at any level by England. So far he has made the matchday squad five times for Premier League games but has only played three games coming on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley and Chelsea respectively. Adarabiyio has been on the radar of Nigeria for a while but the former Manchester City defender who only recently moved to Fulham wasn’t keen on committing to Nigeria. However he has had a change of heart and he is open to accepting a call up if handed one by Rohr. Despite playing for England at three different youth levels he doesn’t require an approval from FIFA as the games were only friendly games. The decision to call the players lies in the court of Rohr who is expected to name his squad for the back to back AFCON 2021 qualifiers game against Sierra Leone next week. |

Icon4s: Chief, if you compare Moses as Musa stats when they were in their prime with that or our present crop of wingers, I don't think u will see much difference.... Even if you use the super eagles as a yardstick... |

Rohr should be ready to offer Emmanuel Dennis a good explanation if he is kept out of the team by a rookie 5 Likes 1 Share |

Danielnino00: You see, this where the problem is. Based on Stats Iwobi is better than Kanu right? You focus only on statistics and forget the general impact of players on the game. Tell me which of the current wingers that can do a solo run, over running the defense and score like Victor Moses and Musa did on different occasions. 4 Likes |

Olulong: Have you noticed any remarkable improvement on Simon and Kalu in the last 2yrs? They are even on a decline if you ask me. The only winger that "may not" have reached his prime is Chukwueze but he too needs to work on his game as he is becoming predictable. I don't count Iwobi as a winger because I don't like the idea of playing him from the wings. 3 Likes |

Icon4s: Yes and yes. Moses Simon went from a goal goal and no assist in 2018/2019 season to 9 goals and 8 assists, being nominated for Prix Marc-Vivien Foé and winning his club's player of the season and goal of the season in 2019/2020. If that's not an improvement then I don't know what to call it. Samuel Kalu struggled last season. But this season he has already doubled his poor tally of one goal last season in just his third start this season. Players do have times where they struggle. The only person I'm scared for is Henry Onyekuru who looks to be declining at an alarming rate |

Another thing bro. As far as i know, Einstein never said that. You should know better. . And resist the urge to be like most Nigerians, by this, I mean consumption of information without verification. . Everybody attributes quotes they consider useful to Einstein all the time. The original quote was actually genius 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration, and it was by Edison. In itself, perspiration is not only equivalent to hard work. Other things go into it. The bolded is a reasonable argument, but it mostly means that you equate achievement to ingenuity. For me, they aren't. I could certainly describe someone as having achieved a lot, without calling them geniuses. I could certainly quantify geniuses by their achievements too. I could say, this so so person underachieved, given his tremendous gift. For me, ingenuity mostly equates to natural gifts, the discussion of how much you achieve with it is another discussion.
