Until they set an example of one the kidnappers in this country for all to see, crime will persist... I pray she survives the ordeal.
If the society is not friendly for everyone to thrive, enabling ground not created to guarantee the survive of all, a society where everybody's interest is guaranteed, be rest assured that no matter the kind of law or punishment introduced by the government will not not end crime rather it will inflam it.

I am yet to see a country that reduced crime by increasing policing and law enforcement.

Law enforcement and policing keeps the peace when a society is generally prosperous.

It is unreasonable and a denial of reality to think that a nation with jobless youths will be peaceful

So true. What i've noticed in England and all the European countries that i've travelled, is that there are no jails. No one commits crime. This is because Europe is affluent. Nigeria needs reporting to the ICJ and ICHR for violating the rights of people in Nigerian Jails. The government of Nigeria must free these people because whatever crimes they committed is justifiable given Nigeria’s poverty. In England for instance the police only keep the peace, which is unnecessary since youths are employed.

Nigeria urgently needs a conversation about Social Media. embarassed

If government cannot control access to social media then state governments need to initiate massive public education programs on the realities of the entire world. Right now, Nigerians appear ill informed, which is why they are so easily mislead. In other to believe your enemy turns into goat fortnightly, you need to possess a simple and unquestioning mind. Simple unquestioning minds are liable to believe the first thing.
