This is my first time of posting any thing on this platform so bear with me if my grammar is wrong or punctuations am just learning how to write friends.

I don't know if many of us here noticed the change in time that took place on Sunday being 25-10-2020(the day before yesterday) I had wanted wanted to keep quite but my Dad and someone else noticed that change as well, so with this two people's awareness of what happened on Sunday alongside myself, I decided to make this known on this platform to let guys know what happened and who else noticed it.

It all started right in the church when we(the communion takers) were about to take the communion when I and a man sitting beside me started arguing about what the time was as of that time, my time on my wrist watch was 11minutes more than His according to what we noticed and I corrected mine to match with his own not knowing that something strange is happening and after church my Dad came home telling me about the same thing happening to Him in the church that same day.

Around 8:00pm I went in to watch Arsenal vs Leicester match and I noticed the time on my small button phone is quite different from others time while still thesame with some people's time on their phone.

So I don't know what to say, but I want to know if somebody else noticed it here on this very forum. thanks all

Well, it also happened to me.
But what I observed is that the fault is from the network providers.

Mainly from glo, sometimes mtn.

I only noticed full night fell too early, even around 6:30pm

True, I was to take Sunday school class by 8am and I discovered pastor wasn't rounding up knowing fully well that he is time conscious, when he eventually finished, I was to say time is far spent only to look up at the Church clock and discovered it was then it reached 8 while mine was already 12mins past 8. So I noticed it.

I also noticed that too


I remembered telling someone it's 4:00pm while he said its just 3:50pm was quite angry.

Only to check the time on my system and saw something else .

I noticed that so many people on this thread are already Quarter To Run Mad.

I noticed it also. The time on my torch light phone was 8 mins faster than my android device. I was about correcting them when I remembered that they were both set to automatic time zone...

Probably a fault from our network providers.

You time was set to pick time from your service provider who in turns uses a Network Time Protocol (NTP).

NTP is a protocol or technique used in providing same time for multiple devices at the same time.

Majority of people including service providers use almost the same NTP over the internet. Other also build or configuration the protocol locally and share to other devices.

So over the weekend your service providers NTP system went bad that was what caused the time not synchronizing properly. It happened to Airtel also.

Your phone picks time from your service provider by default.

It was daylight savings, nothing that mysterious.

Your network service provider wahala. Someone must have done that by error. Grandfather clock still the best \ /

@proquestigbasobt It's daylight saving and there's nothing spiritual or supernatural about it. Winter season is beginning in Europe and North America, and as such they experience longer nights and shorter days.

To maximise the little amount of light the have during this period, England and other European countries moved their time behind by an hour (1 hour).

Nigeria Which usually has the same time with England is now 1 hour ahead of England because of this modification.

OP calm down, that 10 mins delay in time happened with mostly Glo and Mtn users.

Na network cause am, nothing mysterious. Most of us have automatic time update from our network providers and when those providers make mistakes, it affects everyone.

If it was a mysterious thing, ask yourself why none of your analog watches or clocks exhibited the same time lag!

I was with friends, we noticed the time difference and laughed about it. Can't be killing yourself unnecessarily o. I use airtel and my phone time was correct all through.

Something happened during the week that I didn't notice also till Wednesday last week when I left a place around 7:14am and the owner said he came 7:02 or was it 7:03am I was shocked cos it makes me look like a liar. It was on Monday I noticed my time was 11 or 12minutes more than the normal when a colleague asked of time from me and I said 7:41 and the time was 7:29am he was the one who told me my time was too fast. Weird as fxck.

What about the difference noticed on wristwatches and wall clocks?

I noticed it too. My time was 11 minutes past the time.

That same day night fall came in so early, by 6:30 it was already so dark. Mystery day indeed

it happened to me to....left for school on Monday only to see an emptyn quiet environment not untill d security man told me dt its sunday but ma phone and my head is telling me its monday...

It is quite possible you experienced Daylight savings time shift

You are right! I feel we lost 2-3hrs of time that day. Something extraordinary happened on that day, though no evidence to back up my claim
