The Enyimba pitch is almost same as the Uyo pitch
It's a technology for laying of pitches used (forgotten the name right now)

The Enyimba pitch isn't same as the synthetic turfs we see in Kano and Jos.
believe me, all natural still beats that particular hybrid method. Nigerian clubs are only going for it because they cannot maintain all natural pitches.clubs in Europe don't use that particular style. They either go all natural or use little fires to strengthen already natural grass. I think it's desso grass master that is the name.

Nothing like all natural pitch anymore. Most pitches you see today in world class stadia all over the word are hybrid.

All natural grass have been faded out.

Eagles camp opens November 9 ahead Sierra Leone clash–Rohr
sportinglife.ng

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed November 9 as the opening date for the team’s camp in Edo State’s capital, Benin, for next month’s 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) double header against Sierra Leone.

The German coach said he was fine-tuning the squad list for the two encounters to be held in Benin on November 13 and Freetown on November 17, adding the injured Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Bordeaux’s Samuel Kalu would be major omissions.

“Yes; we are playing in Benin,” Rohr told NationSport yesterday.

“On Monday, November 9, we will open the camp,” he added.

Early this month, Rohr blooded some new players for the Super Eagles during the two preparatory matches against Algeria and Tunisia in Austria ahead of the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone.

The experiment saw some newly-invited including the likes of Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto, Portugal), Frank Onyeka (FC Midtjylland, Denmark), Samson Tijani (TSV Hartberg, Austria), Cyriel Dessers (KRC Genk, Belgium), and Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow, Russia) being handed their first outings in the national team colours.

But the experienced 67-year-old Rohr has now hinted that some of the new players would be included in the squad to face Sierra Leone, with the inclusion of fresh new players he refused to disclose yet.

“Some of the new players will be there,” Rohr said about the long-awaited list. “But still missing is Ndidi and Kalu; and one (player) will come for the first time.

The Super Eagles are currently leading Group L with six points after winning their opening two matches at home against Benin (2-1) and away against Lesotho (4-2).

When we want to play Cape Verde I advise the eagles train on that pitch because that's the exact replica of pitch in Praia.

That's a synthetic turf
The Away fixture? Yeah. Twill be the best way. Unless other alternatives abound.

I see some people recommending enyimba pitch. Why do you think Nigeria has not used enyimba, kano pillars, rangers stadiums and one additional big stadium somewhere in the north? It's because of the pitch, the pitches are attractive but a problem lies, they are artificial pitches with grass grown on top, I've forgotten the exact method they call it. they are not better playing grounds than all natural pitches. Teslim balogun stadium wanted to remove their own sometime ago so as to host Nigeria games. Don't let looks deceive you, the all natural pitches at asaba and uyo are still better turfs once in good condition.

Enyimba stadium pitch isn't artificial..it is hybrid....it's the kind of pitch used in most top stadiums in the world.. If you watch Enyimba CAF CC games,u will see how smooth the pitch is..
Kano Pollars own is 100% artificial..Uyo stadium is 100% grass..
And I don't think anybody recommended Enyimba stadium, the pitch is the best in the country and that's a fact...the city of Aba, however doesn't have the capacity to host the super eagles as at now..

I rarely see the sand in most matches in Europe..

But in that uyo stadium..if any grass pull, boom, red sands everywhere

Wrong. There are too much testimonies of the quality of pitch of Enyimba's stadium

Zaidu was really impressive today against Olympiacos. He reminds me of Celestine babayaro damm it took us 24 years to replace babayaro hope he can last. This also shows that Porto might not be a racist club afterwards and if youre good, you would get a chance. I.e awaziem, nwakali, yahaya

it's hybrid yes, but it's different from the 'hybrid ' top stadiums in the world, in fact those stadiums are not really hybrid per se as they don't have artificial grass. They only have artificial roots fibres to hold the natural grass and make it more stable (desso grassmaster & sisgrass). The one at Enyimba just pours some sort of feed on top of artificial grass and allows natural grass to grow on it, it's not used in top stadiums as it is not better than natural grass.

there is a stadium in kastina or so that has exactly that Enyimba type of grass, why are super eagles not using it. Also aperaku stadium has exactly that hybrid grass too, why did we not go for it as well? Or are the Super eagles dumb? There is still a quality difference. Those pitches only look nice and have less maintenance, though they are good, they are not better than all natural pitches.
