the govt has another source of borrowing, which is the chinese government ,with the implecation of default being the seizure of property, compared to borrowing from the west who just want to influence a countrys policy............

problem is the world is just starting to learn the implications of chinese borrowing

I think the man came here because Ahib called him an Idiot, I feel Ahib can make his point without calling them names, some of them know the risk and know it is a Ponzi and are willing to risk it

It is their money and they have the right to spend it as they wish, even as I respect Ahib, I must confess that his manner of approach is sometime wrong and he talks too much for a billionaire he claims he is
did do a valutions for my company and assets to know that they are wort billions ? How did u arrive at the valutions? ....or u use pattern of communications to determine asset valuation? Example the owner of Azman air hardly speak English....but just bought a new plane to add to the fleets...

Oil companies dont own tanker or trucks...contracting firms do .....example the Nigeria breweries trucks are owned by ekenedili chukwu, Total trucks are owned by transporters not total like wise MRS oil plc ,Nipco ,Conoil,Mobil (11 plc)...even leading firms like AA rano also have subcontracting firms with trucks under them ......example for u to get contract to haul for total oil plc u must have a minimum of 10 new trucks and a bank guarantee of 25m
.....while NNPC retail limited is 25 trucks and 50m bank guarantees

Those NNPC trucks are not own by NNPC it own by individual contracting for NNPC subsidiary called NNPC retail limited....any investor can get the contract with right documentations, asset and bank guarantees

The filling station can be company owned or dealer developer (then brand)....example NNPC own only 36 station in Nigeria called NNPC mega 1 ......while investor own the remaining 700 station they build and brand NNPC....under a contract that NNpc will supply the products

There is a big deal in owning trucks........and it is dealing with low level workers who are at most times away from your control.......A truck cost about #30 million, which you are definitely going to hand out to low level skilled workers who probably did not finish secondary school to operate..........now the best supervision you can give is using trackers and managers..............my dear dealing with this class of workers can make one go mad

So most companies hand this section of their operations out.............The few companies that still do transportation and logistics as part of their operations usually bleed cash in that department.

am not defending anything and I dont have image to portray or protect here cos Nairaland is for entertainment and education.for me i have benefited from mr Emma advice around march when I ask if i should buy zenith stocks at 13 .......during the 2006/7 oil boom oceanic and international bank can open a credit line of 500m for a marketer to buy products...this marketer can be 30 years old ....oceanic bank even built a depot for ramaniyya......but I know there is huge poverty in Nigeria so some figures and achievement might look strange and alien and breed envy....

I agree, but it is also good you put this out there for many of those who understand where you are coming from to have some relief.

it not so ....u need a contract with a Mnc company to control finance ..so payments for jobs done come to the company accounts.....against having drivers looking for jobs and collecting cash ( this bring temptation ) u need to be street smart and rugged ....many current transporters are from family of transporter........some families buy truck for each child from secondary school .....that why u hear companies like s.brothers ....Nagero and son etc ...

Not true if you source your load yourself.
Driver can only fleece you much if he is the one looking for work or load.
The only way he can steal from you if you do this is to claim breakdown all the time or excess diesel money, shikena wink
