Can I apply to TUM now? Do they accept notarized documents from high court? Did u use uni-assist?

If he has a Ghana passport why not he applies through the embassy in Ghana? Nigeria has a lot of back log already. However, if he has a scholarship which will increase his chances here, he can give it a shot.

Thanks for your swift response, how about Nigeria address on his admission later won't that be a constraint when applying at Ghana more so how about the 6-month residence permit will that not affect him?

2 ways
Option 1. Form A - this will use CBN approved rate to transfer from your local account to your blocked account. This will save you a lot of money as the rate would be lower than bdc. I have contacted some banks and I got an encouraging feedback from 2. I will be going to their branch on Monday to try it and I can update you as it goes.

Option 2. DOM account - source for euro from bdc, deposit it in your DOM account and do the transfer.

Wot just said he has a Ghanian passport, what's the need for resident permit then... Why are you confusing yourself or you are just telling us lies here?

Stop giving people information on something you have not tried before.. Using form A is a bad idea, people who tried it regretted it, it wont work and the banks will start telling you stories... The option 2 you gave is what people have used successfully and access bank is the fastest with that

The information there is clearly stated and easy enough to comprehend. I also stated I will be going to give it a trail. If you had a bad experience doesn't mean everyone will. At least, I'm sure you haven't tried all the banks in Nigeria. Just share your experience when you tried it and move on! Let people decide on what they wanna do.

Don't know about Fintiba, but if you are opening a blocked account with Expatrio, it comes with a public health insurance registration (TK). You receive the insurance confirmation.
Lol grin

My brother, don't look at the benefit when you're still in Naija oo!

That's just their way of "buying" you into registering under them. The main question should be - "What are the benefits will I get during my study?"

"How much will I be paying for the insurance?"

"What non-health related assistance can they give me?"

Etc

When you have answered these questions, then you would know the kind of public health insurance company you'd like to register under.

No, please don't be tempted to use. It expires after 6 months of issuance even if it carries 5 years

Una wey dey attend online classes for Germany schools from Nigeria, how do y'all do it?? Are y'all in a different Nigeria from mine??

I have been having online lectures with full participation as well as presenting findings using WebEx. Try the app. Nigeria situation with AD is rather unfortunately. However, there's still restrictions in Germany. Most states in Germany will be locked down soonest for another month. Let us keep praying. All is well!

hello guys

2weeks ago made it 1 year since my arrival in deutschland.

i give God all the gloryfor all the achievements so far.......i paid back my BA within a year, my studys going well, my german now better, i have worked in more than 20 place..hustle is going well.

i study at FSU jena....what i can say about jena is............it a good town but i will advice you to come here if you have no second choice....mostly you have to go to other cities to hustle like weimar, erfurt etc but it is ok. and when coming to a small city like this try come with BA or when coming with SL then come with enough money oo. ....i dont know what could have happend to me if i had not come with BA....i coudnt work for 7months.......mostly because the visa the nigerian embassy gave me does not carry work permit and i had to wait till the visa expired..this was my case alone though because i was not lucky like other guys who got termin for resident permit earlier....

the last 4-5months have been a very busy one for me because of hutsle and study...no time......but i will always make out time to time to visit here,,,,because here made it possible for me to be in germany.

if you have sent me a PM before....send again i will try to answer as much as i can.....when i am not not busy

vielen dank
aufwiedersehen

High priest of the highest order... Great to hear from u and even better to hear you're doing well. I saw a notification that u sent me a pm. Can't even remember what must have transpired last time that required talking in pm. But I'd sure reach out.

Couple questions pls.

1. Any idea of the situation for student visas now? Ease of giving visas I mean. I'm in cat B.

2. What's the job environment like for building construction engineers?

3. You've been paid your B.A back in full? Even after not being able to work the first 7 months, that's awesome and highly motivating. Pls kindly give us tips how you were able to achieve it.

Danke. Danke. Danke.

Hello guys, I'm here to share my whole admission to visa experience on this German waka. I hope this lightens the mood here because I know the mood around here is down .

So I've been on my German journey since late 2018, I tried applying to many schools for Msc admission and got loads of rejection which dampened my mood but I decided I was not going to relent. So all through 2019 I was seeking admissions in public schools and I wasn't getting any, I guess because my course of study was in high demand (Data science) which requires the best Bsc result.

In the midst of this rejection offers I decided not to relent and was a follower of this German visa thread on nairaland. I began to notice that even with admission letters, appointment letters at the Embassy was not forthcoming and so I decided to leave Nigeria.

Early this year I decided on moving to Turkey, with the aim of staying six months and then moving to Germany, at this point I had no German admission yet but I decided on pursuing it. I came to Turkey in March and during the whole lockdown I started looking out for more schools to apply to in Germany.

My plan was very simple, I would come to Turkey , stay for six months with their residence permit and then apply for German visa after getting admission to Germany. So, I was sending applications here and there while I was in Turkey here and BOOM I finally got an admission to one of the best schools in Germany (top 10 percent worldwide). At this point I already had my Turkish resident permit and was waiting for my six months to complete before I apply for the German study visa at the Embassy here.

Finally, the six months elapsed, and then I began the visa application process which was very simple and fine .

The Process here in Turkey is very simple:

1. They have a third-party body (iData) that you book visa appointments through.
2. You pay about 69 Turkish lira which is an equivalent of (4500 naira) and then they tell you in two weeks you'll get an appointment to go to the Embassy. Mine came in 9 days.
3. They sent me the required documents and everything I needed to take to the Embassy which was not a problem at all. Required documents were blocked account confirmation ( I used expatrio), health insurance which expatrio provides, original copy of your degree certificate, visa application form and biometric passport photographs and most importantly 75 euros and motivation letter.
4. And so I went to the Embassy, guys it was very smooth there.. no stress whatsoever. I got to the Embassy on time . Had a wait time of 20 minutes and then it was time to talk to the visa officer.
5. The interview questions were smooth though plenty, I advice for preparation and calmness. So at the end of the interview the visa officer told me I will be given a visa decision in 4-6 weeks and so I left.
6. Guys, exactly one week after my visa interview , I received a call from the Embassy that my passport and other documents are being shipped by UPS and they are calling to confirm my home address. I responded accordingly and they said in 2 - 3 days I will receive my documents.
7. I am glad to say I received my passport with the visa stamped.

I can say I am ready to travel to Germany and start a new phase in my life..

Cheers Everyone!! For everyone still trying and hoping to leave Nigeria for Germany or anywhere else, I believe everyone's dreams and wishes will come to pass.

Would applying from Ghana work?
