3stacks: Geopolitical affairs? Haaaah! People who have no idea the history of Trump's racism against black people, and black women in particular should not come here to throw around high sounding words without checking the reality. There's no high ranking black women, Trump doesn't describe as "nasty", and he means it. Anyway, let's just see what the election does on a few days. 1 Like 1 Share |

J111333: But we normally trust people from corrupt America to such sensitive positions. (America, which launches entire wars killing millions, based on lies and deceit, in order to corner natural resources for its elite, is 100 times more corrupt than Nigeria). 5 Likes 2 Shares |

rossoki:We all here are supporting Ngozi Okonjo Iweala because she is our sister likewise the US is supporting the SK woman because her country is a trusted ally. Do I blame the US? No because I will naturally do the same, infact I'm doing so already by supporting our own Ngozi. 1 Like |

austinvsb:Nigeria owes China a very large sum of dept, which make China to easily influence Nigeria to mount serious pressure on the woman when making certain decisions. USA is not ready to overlook that because of a precalculated American citizenship. |

We forget history easily, I believe USA is doing what they believe is right and they are out for revenge. When they voted in UN to move Israel capital to Jerusalem, Nigeria voted against it. Since then, USA has vowed to deal with Nigeria. They started with the immigration ban, now they are fighting Dr Okonjo. If Okonjo was to be a citizen of Ghana or Tanzania who either are allies or neutral to the USA, they would have backed her. Trump and his cohorts are out and prepared to be dishing out the revenge in cold plate. Dr Okonjo may succeed and become elected, but USA are still looking for more ways to deal with Nigeria. |

Barka00: I think you're right. I earlier thought otherwise.. Its just down to Economic interest If Nigeria was of huge economic interest/benefit to US just like Saudi, Qatar, S.Korea, the story would have been different. |

The way lots of you keep assuming that this has anything to do with Donald Trump, is quite funny. Do you really think that even if it were under an Obama (a black man with African ancestry) presidency, the US would back her? Unbelievable... 4 Likes |
