Our players are better suited for 4-4-2 diamond. I remember i stated this last week. 4-4-2 diamond allows us field a higher number of our good players IN THEIR BEST POSITIONS.

In 4-2-3-1 we don't have a good right wing forward so that is 1 position being used sub-optimally. Our left wing forward Rashford is more of a scorer than a natural creator so that is another position being used sub-optimally.
Then crucially our defence has less protection as the 3 forward players don't track back consistently . Our midfield also has less control.

With 4-4-2 you can actually field Pogba and Bruno together in their best positions and still have quality on the bench with VDB, Mata. You can play a true strike partnership with Rashford and Martial and still have quality on the bench with Cavani and Greenwood (all playing their natural positions).

The weakness is on the flanks as the full backs don't have much help and might face 2 v 1 situations more often than they would like.

True. I must admit I saw Pogba making effort to track back yesterday. It was even better with the introduction of McTominay as Fred took up the role of covering shaw whilst McTominay offered protection for Wan-Bissaka when Leipzig attacked from the wings.

It's the style of that makes our opponents commit unnecessary foul.. If Martial can up his game and stay consistent, mehn we will get more penalty.

Henderson, Fabihno and Keita don't have those skill set either but they make up with hard work and it paid off for Looserfools.

Pogba is the most talented Midfield in our team..

To say the least we've got 3 good creative midfielders in our than most EPL teams..

But the main thing is hard work which Mctominay and Fred offer almost a 100

True, he seem very comfortable playing with McTom. Make every of our players dey give their best when called upon...

Haba Fred's touch is much better. And analyzing his game it looks more like poor concentration to me. Often his 1st touch is actually quite good then his 2nd touch pushes the ball far and he has to stretch or slide. It is infuriating to watch sometimes.

Same thing with his passing. He is better at passing between the lines than McTom with his sharp passing but he is also more likely than McTom to misplace a simple sideways pass to an unmarked teammate.

In a 4-4-2 he has a natural position as a box box midfielder which makes use of his energy levels and tenacity. And he has to work on his shooting as well.

Definitely. He also needs a little gym work to be able to utilize his low center of gravity.

This team is maybe 1 or 2 players away from seriously challenging for titles. Probably 1 top class quick CB and a mobile CDM with passing range.
