contigiency: I wish Ngozi will get the job and good luck but is very unlikely. It is either Ngozi or WTO. Once USA withdraws from WTO, that is the end of WTO. Did China, Russia or EU bust the economic sanctions USA and Trump administration imposed on Iran? |

She is a member of the Board of The GAVI Alliance (formerly the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation) is a global health partnership of public and private sector organizations dedicated to “immunisation for all”. The above is under the control of the BILLIONAIRE BIO-TERRORIST – BILL GATES!

contigiency:Did I tell you I'm against her getting the job. I only disagreed with people suggesting her country of origin as the only reason the US is yet to support her. US is just trying to get some commitment to protect their interest. They will finally support her. After all she is a US citizen. 1 Like |

Dede1: International trade is only about patents? So if you are a country like Brazil or Argentina that are exporting huge quantities of beef and soya beans you have to patent them? |

Dede1: Oga the power of America is declining small small most especially during this Trump's really. There traditional allies European Union and UK are now distancing themselves from them. We now have a multi polar world If the US pull out from WTO, nothing will happen. Every other nation will find there level. The world doesn't start or end in the US Which is the big mistake Trump is making. He thinks everything is about America. They tried it with Adesina in ADB and they failed woefully US can't be a lone ranger When almost every other top country is behind iweala. Trump has a lot of lesson to be taught, with all those his arrogance and looking down on people, claiming he is a billionaire How much is his networth self? Maximum 3 billion dollars when people like Mike Bloomberg with net worth of over 60 billion dollars don't make noise. Even Dangotes wealth is like 5 times trump's wealth. He is just unnecessarily arrogant |

Bleep US. Whether they like it or not Auntie Ngozi shall lead the WTO better than the Korean insha Allah. The same way US was disappointed recently at AFDB by having our own Akinwumi Adesina reappointed, so shall it be at WTO come November 2020. |

krisdzhon: Bill Gates is now bio terrorist? Nigerian! The same immunisation that they gave you and made you safe from childhood killer diseases? Ask your parents, they will tell you the difference immunisation made during your growing up and their own growing up as they were told by your grandparents |

Guestlander: Please educate your comprehensible skills. There are certain countries USA will not ship certain goods. Sometimes certain licenses are required, WTO sometimes acts as a clearing house. The beef and soya are laughable in above post. I guess you could do better than this. Who gives a ratass about over the counter goods such beef, soya, cocoa and even crude oil. These are goods and services that can be ironed on bilateral talks. |

Bimpe29: That's why Nigeria has to up her game economic wise. Build infrastructures, industrialise and start taking her place in the committee of nations. Nigeria has so much going for her The right leaders must begin to take there stake |

djon78: Nigerians have tendency to compare oranges to apples. What is AFDB compared to WTO? USA just gave token opposition due to complaints leveled against the president of AFDB by some people from member nations. |
Re: US: Why We Oppose Okonjo-iweala’s Election As WTO DG by okonyia(m): 2:26pm On Oct 29, 2020 |
It is done and dusted. Okonjo Iwuala will get the job. 1. Is that there is nothing like veto power in WTO, that might decide who becomes the next stop. Now she got 204 out of 264 vote, what does it tell. 2. You can agree with me that, not everybody will support your candidacy of any position. So come 9th of Number, she will get the job. This is not world bank. . |

Righteousness89: Let's face the fact. Okonjo don't really have direct understanding on trade. Beside, Nigeria government she served always have problems with trading and tackling price control. That's not what the world want. |
Re: US: Why We Oppose Okonjo-iweala’s Election As WTO DG by djon78(m): 2:32pm On Oct 29, 2020 |
Dede1: Did they not try it? In this present issue concerning WTO From the report I read US, EU even UK all had one voice in subsequent WTO leadership selection This is the first time they are disagreeing over the choice of candidacy Since the asenscion of Trump. The US and her major allies in the European Union and UK now don't agree on things again. This should be a big worry for the US Trump has brought them major issues And that's how empires decline The world doesn't revolve around America The world rearly drive American cars more of Asian and European cars The world don't even watch there sports more of European sports Luxury goods, fine wine etc still Europeans It's only in technology they are ahead |
