New truck has its advantage too, before you will buy that injector of 700k,you must have used it for a very long time.
Not that its smart to buy tokunbo trucks, just that those transporters are just poor and are looking at short term gains.
Abi BHN and ABC weh dey buy new trucks are stupid ba? undecided

Dangote group attempted to close dangote transport around 2003 cos of huge problem associated with it ...but he had to bring it back ...cos no Transport company in Nigeria that can feed his demand single or combine ...they don't have the asset or financials muscle...
.....dangote is the largest transporter in Nigeria .....obanjana cement roll out around 400 trucks daily .......BHN logistics too they transport for indomie....smart companies like brewery advoid transport to allow them concentrate on making beer and not time consuming activities like transport .....

Transport is not even a lucrative business .....the lucrative part has be taken by derugulation of down stream ......so I dont even encourage people to enter ......the return over a 5 years period is just mere 28 to 30 max ......

Dont generalise.
I don't know about wet haulage but as for dry haulage that's another story.
Else how is ABC hauls,FedEx and co make money?
I'm sure you know ysg made all his money from personnel transport.

in hold up no problem not when parked or on high speed.......
more over there is a general concensus among nigerian mechanics and transporters that ac kills ur engine fast........... it might end up as a lie but prevention they say is better than cure

Transport woudnt make u rich ...unless u have a monopoly like Elena dili chukwu and the Nigerian breweries ....but go will live fine sha (guarantee)...tok camary 2014 and 3 bedroom apartment no go pass your power ..........Trading is the key then u move to manufacturing gradually.......why would buy a 30m truck when u can import a 20 ft container of tiles and toilets seats and sell everyhing In orile within 4 months and make 50m .......why would u put 30m when u can import 100 bale of lace and sell the thing for 45m within 2 months in Kano markets and move back to china and do around round ........the most important thing is God bless you with wisdom to item to import from Asia..

There is no way AC can kill that type of big engine in trucks. No way!
AC is only a problem in small engines fitted with large compressors or wrong compressors, not that it kills engine.
I drive a 015 corolla with heavy tints(meaning AC is always on),my engine should be dead by now.

If one can keep the truck busy on the road for 21 hours a day every day for 4 months delivering goods that command good tarrif per kg, you might as well make more profit than the person sekling in orile

The big question still remains how

ABC is performing poorly because of its personnel transport that GIG killed, not necessarily haulage.
I hope you know ABC has 2 factions,so one not doing well obviously will affect the other in the stock market. undecided
Go to Calabar and see how busy ABC trucks are.

That business in Orile will soon hit satiety, that is irrespective of how much capital you have or how many containers you can load at once, selling power wouldn't change.
So this means the orile guy will have so much liquid in his hands and will start looking for ways to diversify that money, else he risk losing his capital by means of bad debt to customers, goods damage due to tight warehouse with excess goods, staff theft,etc...
This is why,you cant trade for ever. wink

And you think you are the only supplier in Orile right? undecided
Dude, the most poorest people I know is suppliers.
Nothing beats open trade and also the person in orile wont pay you cash for your goods,so you give him goods on credit and also bear risk with him.
If they raid the market or it burns, you will still lose,if you don't lose money, you'd lose time value for money because no trader will pay his debt immediately after disaster .
This is a sector I know very well wink

u see why many companies would rather contract transport and logistics out......... they put the blame on you and pile the pressure on thirld party,,,,,,,,but be that as it may, how does one rake in profit without operating your truck

get the contract by any means then get people to bring their truck under u .....example Lagos to Abuja is 13 naira on the contract ....you subcontract it at 11 naira to a third-party....u chop 2naira x 45000 litres =90k per trip ....if dey do 10 trip u make 900k ....without worrying about tyres and maintance....

[s]Oil companies dont own tanker or trucks...contracting firms do .[/s]....example the Nigeria breweries trucks are owned by ekenedili chukwu, Total trucks are owned by transporters not total like wise MRS oil plc ,Nipco ,Conoil,Mobil (11 plc)...even leading firms like AA rano also have subcontracting firms with trucks under them ......example for u to get contract to haul for total oil plc u must have a minimum of 10 new trucks and a bank guarantee of 25m
.....while NNPC retail limited is 25 trucks and 50m bank guarantees
Rubbish. Anyone involved in oil and gas knows you are not making sense. Oando, Forte, MRS (your employer) all own fleets of trucks that are managed by fleet and logistics staff like you. Of course they also contract out some of their transportation business but they own thousands of their own trucks that they finance using their huge balance sheets. Your employer (MRS) started as a haulage company and actually owns thousands of trucks today. No Mickey Mouse truck owner can ever compete with the big guys as they have economies of scale on their side. Stop deceiving people. Na so e easy for common man to enter bank and just collect loans to buy trucks worth tens of millions of Naira?? Well done sir.

And please stop trying to do damage control here. You have been found out. You are not the billionaire entrepreneur that you claim to be but a fleet operator at MRS. Please just dare me and I will post all your details here. This is a faceless forum and nobody sends your audio billionaire entrepreneur status so no need for the unnecessary lies.

Ps: I notice you have deleted the pictures of the MRS trucks you claimed were yours. That’s a good start.

Yes true, but most times these traders are richer than the importers.
I don't know about Orile markets but if it was aba or PH I for fit talk.
You see those traders ehn(the big ones o not the small fries),they have multiple suppliers.
What they do is they can come take one container goods from you on credit and use your money and buy from someone else and he continue selling and be profitable, while you the supplier remains at home fùcking multiple bannies with your last card while begging for your capital so you can go import again.
Before you bring another one,ge must have sold 10 containers with this system, you make 5m at once,he makes 1m but multiple times than you because he sells to the final consumer and in cash.
Also your expenses is higher than his because you are idle,he is busy.
He spends his time in his shop, you spend yours in university and brothels looking for the tightest pussy in town.
Bros forget supply,na foolish man business, tueh!!! angry angry
