Dear all,
I need your advise on your this (A new driver, my fisrt day) . I took a ride (cash trip)from Abule Egba to Ipaja, i mistakenly took the BRT Lane, which I made a U-turn back to the under bridge (can’t remember the name of the bridge) while apologizing to her continually for the genuine mistake. At drop off, the rider(the request was made by her husband) requested for my account which I declined at first. But she said she didn’t have any money on her.

She called her husband to make the transfer while she was waiting.. the husband called back the he is unable to do the transfer because he was getting his hair cut. I waited for thirty minutes, then reported to Bolt that I needn’t any money.

I called the man again, he is telling me that on his dashboard, the trip displays 0.00 while they are suppose to pay me 2500.

He isn’t picking his calls anymore .

Welcome onboard, just take that as part of learning on the job. Did you collect d wife’s number ? If yes don’t call d husband again , just keep calling d wife. It has happened to me before and d girl said if he (Boyd) doesn’t give me d money till evening she will give me, case closed.
But next time don’t rush to report to bolt, unless u are convinced it’s a scam

You are very lucky you are starting this business when lastma n police don go vacation. If not you will be looking for 50k to bail ur car by now. In fact it’s d fact dt u are turning back after realizing your mistake dt will make them arrest you.

Really I Dey learn for this work , so it’s an offense to put leg on seat or dashboard? Well i must have been very lenient and cool. Cos it doesn’t move me where u put your leg. In fact I feel comfortable when ladies sleep in front and rest d car seat and we gisting like pals not like driver n rider

I don't allow riders to put their leg on the dashboard/cushion. I don't tolerate it. I will ask the rider To put their leg down politely.

Sometimes I tell them, let assume I'm visiting your house for the first time, immediately I sat down I put my legs on the couch, how would you feel/think? I leave them to answer it in their head(you would say I'm ill-mannered) undecided

On radauto Bonanza matter... I suggest comment timing on the Bonanza day as a way out...

It could be the first commenter on a whole hour.

9:00
10:00
11:00......... And so on.

Or first 12 commenters from 12pm sharp...

This way, all have equal chances, great transparency and you won't be dragged for favoritism.

Just my suggestion.

Traffic is becoming fair, reason being some lastma in some less volatile area have resumed duty....Request (Bolt Only) still average, just like the immediate post covid lockdown relaxation period....Hopefully request will pick up coming week.

Guys help praise God on my behalf. My tyre burst on top 3rd Mainland bridge yesterday, driving over 80km/h. My car is in shape. Only lost the tyre and the rim too.

Shortly, after I parked the car, a guy came from nowhere, claiming that's his spot. He couldn't wait too long anyway in the face of tazer, with my pepper spray inside my pocket too. He had to stand aloof when I brought out the tazer.

May God continue to protect us on the road.

As long as Uber sits in their office as the pretty child and still collects 25% on every trip and drivers can't still see rider destination, they will always play second fiddle to Bolt. With Indriver in the game now, 3rd place sure for them now.

Uber still the best standard. I think they need to work more on marketing.

Most people I know prefer Uber to bolt, their first call is always Uber and only turn to bolt when there is surge on Uber.
Something funny happened yesterday, I landed in Lagos 8:45pm na so I open app dey try request bolt, INDriver or Uber cos d babe standing next to me called a bolt driver dt she about to pick her luggage but my app shows no driver available on bolt.
I had to resolve to airport taxi na so all of them dey call 7k , 6k day curfew Dey. My bolt app was showing 2,600 - 3200.
If I tell them 3,5k dey will just walk away and it was raining so I had no choice.
This guy complained from airport to my house, with no AC , d guy was still begging me to add extra 500 because some people wey dey avoid army check point block road.
If you see the number of cars and buses on d road you won’t believe there is any curfew.
But I respect army they just block road and stay one corner and people dey pass short cut and burst out on the other side and they didn’t bother us.
In a nutshell E-hailing app favors rider more than drivers when compared to all this cab drivers dt will use complain finish you while paying double

Most of us know this already. That's why I have always maintained that NO RIDER deserves a luxury ride.
Give them basic rides, that's what they pay for.
Any vehicle above 2003 model is luxurious for riders.
QED.
