What would solve madam's issue with the curriculum is to establish feminist schools. Kids can be taught sex orientation, sexual liberty, LGBTQ~ and any other thing that catches their fancy.

Teaching a child the basics in school is enough. The child would study his parents to know what worked for them and fine tune to his own style.

She isn't a teacher so she won't understand. if she is a teacher she will know that there are dynamics and stages in leaning. A child has to start with 2*2 before he/she can do 4*12.

For that age and class, thats is what they are taught. As the child grows older and more mature and move into higher classes, that same topic will be taught with a different narrative to conform with modern times. Thats they way children learn. My fellow teachers will understand

Attention seeker. Must curriculum be based on individual parent's philosophy? If all mothers and fathers start deciding what the school should teach, don't you know there will be conflicts? Just open your own school for your children and teach them what you want them to learn instead of disturbing public peace. You want the school to teach them complicated things as kids. At their level they tell them the function of mouth is for eating and talking... they don't teach them more than that. As we know mouth can be used for other things other than those two......

While I agree with you that children learn more from what they see their parents doing at home it's not good to be teaching this kinda stuff in this modern age. We have evolved.

Patriarchy does not necessarily result in men seeing their women as second class. Patriarchy as a construct has its nuances determined by individuals. Just as feminism has its nuances reflected at the level of the individual. You cannot dress everyone in the same robe because we are fundamentally different. For example some regard the Bible as being anti-women but the same persons will cleverly avoid reading about Deborah, the daughters of Zelophehad, Huldah, Esther, Miriam, Jezebel, Delilah, Jael, Queen of Sheba, Rahab, Athalia, Ruth, the daughters of Philip, the widow and prophetess at the temple who witnessed the birth of Christ, Mary Magdalene, Cloe, etc...who all were influencers in their own right!

This is just attention seeking. She went to school in London, I knew her very well dating one yoruba guy. Don't know if that's her husband presently but I doubt. However she is still based in UK and her family is still in UK so she is using UK teacher issues to give naija people reason to talk.

I have women that nobody dares to discuss work and other serious stuff on their dinning table.

At that point, the women don't feel like dependants, we are the ones dependent on her for acceptable table talk and menu.

Schools/Teachers play an important role in shaping children. Some children spend more awake hours in School than they do at home, meaning whatever they're taught there do shape them/their thinking. The Teacher's "It's true o" means this is a learning opportunity for her too, albeit I doubt there's much she can do to change the curriculum.

Please, I was taught the same thing in the 90's wen I was in nursery school and I still knew that my mom was working class, same as my friends mom...
