Sometimes you need to recognize the fastest way to your destination may not be a straight line Here is what i mean: if what you really want is to an undergraduate program in a different field then some of your major hurdles are getting admission to that program and getting a student visa to read that program among others i wont delve into other challenges like funding etc so instead of applying for an undergraduate program at 32, which may be a difficult sell for a VO who you cant convince in under 5mins your a genuine student and your reason for wanting the program, you may apply for a masters program which removes at least 1 negative factor from your visa consideration (of cos this assumes you already have 1 undergraduate degree) you can then go further by applying for that masters in a school you have researched that has your intended undergraduate program. this enables you to change programs once you get to the us for that program within the same school. technically there is nothing wrong or illegal with this as far as i know so long as your intention was going to school; Hope this helps a little Beegirl1:
Hello. Thank you for your help on here. Please need your opinion what if one intends on applying for a second bachelor's degree at the age 32 is this advisable owing to the fact that its a total change of career.

Dear All, Please I need your professional Advise, I have been admitted to study M.A International Affairs at TNS in NYC for fall. Thanks to Covid I deferred to spring 2021.although I have taken a free tuition 3 credits course Called NYC post covid and have bagged my 3 credit from the project submitted from the classes done on canvas. Which further earned me a $3,000 pandemic relief grant now in my school account for me. And I have gotten an updated I-20 with that of my dependents (Spouse and 2 kids) reason being that when I go it might be cumbersome for my dependents to get their F2 visa so I’m getting everything at once by God’s Grace in 2 weeks as per visa appointment. I’m on full sponsorship by my company, I have all the documents to support my claims. What’s your take on it as per the joint interview with my dependents.
Thank you Louis |

Looking forward to your responses Don't do it! I repeat, don't do it! Chances that you will be refused is very high. If you want a change of career, plan it well. Getting an undergraduate degree at 32, is a no no. I hope you don't have admission or interview date already. If you do, just cancel it. And start making plans on graduate degree. 1 Like |

US F1 Visa approved Date: 30 Oct 2020 Interview time: 11am I got there 7am and was allowed in by 9:30am
Me: Good morning Sir Vo: Good morning
Vo: Pass me your passport, I-20, Ds160 and Sevis fee receipt
Me: While passing it, I need to say that my program is stated differently on my I-20. My program is MA International Development Studies. My school says the SEVIS system uses some set of codes for variety of programs and that is why it is stated differently on my I-20
Vo: oh okay. We will get to that
Me: Alright
Vo: So where is Ohio
Me: Sorry, you mean the school
Vo: Yes
Me: Athens
Vo: Why did you choose Ohio
Me: I chose Ohio for 3 reasons 1. Ohio gave me a tuition scholarship 2. As part of my program I will be learning a second language. No other school offers this
Vo: cuts in. What language will you be learning.
Me: French, because in the field of development English and French are the two official languages
Vo: Yes that's true. So which other Universities did you apply to
Me: University of Pittsburgh, Western Michigan University and American University
Vo: so why did you choose ohio
Me: Like I said earlier. Ohio gave me a scholarship and I would learn a second language.
Vo: Oh true you said that. Have you travelled outside Nigeria before
Me: No
Vo: Where have you travelled to in Nigeria
Me: Edo, Kano, Kaduna, Zaria, Minna, Abuja, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo
Vo: Who is paying the rest of your fees
Me: My aunt
Vo: How is she related to you.
Me: She's my mum's sister
Vo: Where is she
Me: Here in Lagos..She works for so so so
Vo: I will be approving your Visa. Gives me a white paper. Go and pay your reciprocity fee. You will be told when you can pick up your passport.

I eventually picked it up yesterday afternoon. So just chill for now 1 Like |
