I have used my borehole water for my Trojan batteries in the last 6 years. It has served me well. A colleague was paying for distilled water for another type of Trojan, the whole set up last about a year and a half. Luck, I guess. This is not a technical advise on flooded batteries. Follow the instructions of your manufacturer unless you hope to accept personal responsibility for any untowards outcome.

I know someone that uses AC water. And his batteries have been okay for the past 3yrs. However, i don't have that liver. I bought the so called distilled water o o. Like u rightly pointed out, it is a personal responsibility o o o. I ain't ready to take that responsibility yet. However, i think i will do the AC water once this distilled water i bought finishes.

the source of the water isnt an issue, the issue is the TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS. you can use any clean water free from particles if the TDS is below 5, simply buy a tds meter for about 2k,on aliexpress and use it to test your borehole water or any water you intend to use. i b el ie ve m y b or e h ole w a te r i s q u i te go o d a s wel l , co s wh en i r u n i t thr ough my port able distiller, i get very minimal sludge waste at the end. yet to buy acquire a tds meter to confirm b4 and after

Yes I bought tds meter from AliExpress my ac water is about 10 while a particular sachet water company in my area has tds level of 3 or 5 and I have been using them since as they are the lowest I've seen. Even almighty Eva water is 39 with the tds meter

If tds is too low, it's not too good for human consumption as most necessary minerals are filtered out. India as of recent even banned the use of RO water as it's said to be linked to magnesium/calcium deficiency among its population.

Recommended tds water level for human drinking according to some scholars should be between 50-300.

Exactly, dissolved solids/minerals are helpful to the human body. I advice every person to be taking supplements of daily multivitamin for optimum well being, as the average meal is severly lacking in most of these necessary vitamins as well
