I actually did it through my agent who works in the actual immigration Canada office there.


The documents I submitted were admission letter, tuition payment document, letter of acceptance, use of representative, acceptance letter, Family information, Medical report, Police report, sponsorship letter and proof of finances and study visa application.

The only large sum of money that came in that reflected within the Staatement report was from the sale of a property.
And no, there was no Landed property submitted.
Tuition for a year is 16700cad

Please share the documents you submitted and your profile (your age, degree you’re going for, bsc msc etc) any kids? Did you apply alone?

Was there any lump/large sum deposit in your mum’s account? Did you submit any landed property? How much is your tuition for 1 year?

Actually, these reasons given to you are generic. To see the actual reason for the refusal, you need to order your gcms notes, just google “gcms notes sites Canada” many of them will pop up, you can choose anyone. It costs around 20 CAD. Takes between 15-35 days to arrive. The notes will show the visa officers concerns.

Before the notes arrive, the house can make suggestions based on your profile and the documents you submitted.

Please I need your advice on this...I just finished my MBA and I want to progress with my new career in business analysis. As of the time i was just finishing I had not gotten my result and certificate and the only degree i had was in biochemistry. I made application to study in canada but was refused based on my purpose of travel and immigration status.

SHARING MY STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION APROVAL.


This is my Second Application (Undergraduate Student with five years study gaps)


Timeline
Submission: January 20, 2020
Medical request: February 12, 2020
Request for updated bank statement: February 13, 2020
Request for first year tuition fees: February 13, 2020
Request for updated LOA: February 13, 2020.
Medical passed: February 28, 2020

I raised a webform to the Canadian embassy in Nairobi requesting for an extension for me to be able to meet up with their requirements due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, international transactions was a bit difficult during that period.

Submitted updated acceptance letter via mycic account: March 12, 2020 (there was provision for upload on my portal). It took the school (University of Regina) one month to process a new LOA because I have utilized all my deferral chances.

Paid first year tuition and uploaded proof of payment via webform: May 18, 2020.

After fulfilling all the IRCC requirements it moved to a complete silence that lasted for 3 months. Although, I kept sending follow up emails and webforms to inquire if they recieved the documents I sent to them and whether they require additional documents from me. In all of the enquires (webforms) I sent to them, they only acknowledged one while the rest were generic responses about the impact of COVID-19 in Visa processing. This made me restless because I don't know their next course of action.

Lo and Behold, AIP: August 18, 2020
Requested a GCMS note for me to know the status of my application: August 25, 2020.
Received my GCMS noted stating all the verifications were passed, and I found out that my application has been approved : September 17, 2020.
BVL: October 29, 2020
PPR: October 30, 2020

During the long wait, I always remind myself of his words in - Mark 11:24. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” I belived firmly and trusted that God was strongly involved in my case.

I would like to use this great opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to an exceptional, hard working, God-fearing and selfless brother (frankrobben) who helped me with getting my visa approval. 1. Letter of Introduction from my father's company stating that I am a volunteer (non-paid) employee in the company. Frank suggested I present the application this way so they won't request for salary bank statement or funds from my own part. My LOE was tailored specifically that the primary purpose of my visit to Canada is to acquire an advanced knowledge in economics which will be channelled to the growth of my father's business/company.

My advice to everyone is that while we are waiting for the Lord’s answer, let us not despair, let us trust in the times when GOD is silent to us because HE is doing something good for us. Let us pray constantly and above all give thanks and praise to GOD, just because HE will not leave us in the midst of trials.

Could it be that they’ve received it but it hasn’t just reflected?

My advice.

1. Order your gcms notes
2. Let your sponsor transfer the 10k cad for living expenses to your account. She should state it in her sponsorship letter and you should also state it in your letter of explanation
3. Submit proof of sale of the property that has the lump sum. Eg deed of sale and sale receipts and explain this in your letter of explanation
4. You didn’t state your age. If you’re older, you should show you’re being involved in your society eg voluntary work or proof of your job or business
5. Also attach source of fund for your sponsor. If employed, payslips and if a business person, attach business registration documents
6. I’ll advice you to attach proof of landed properties if you have. That’s a strong home tie.

You can start working on gathering all these documents before your gcms notes arrives. When it arrives, share with the house so they can advice.

Thesis based is usually more competitive. But it has more funding(scholarship) possibilities. And you’ll most likely have to find a supervisor who agrees to supervise your work before you can apply. In a nutshell, course based-courses are easier to get into.

Getting into a thesis-based program is possible. We’ve seen several people on here. Nobody can tell you for sure how easy it is, you need to try and see.

You didn’t talk of her exact age. If she’s around mid and late 30s you can try express entry. Use the CRS calculator to check what your score is. I think the cut off for the last draw was 471.

In this recent times, I have come to understand that IRCC can begin processing on an applicant's application prior to the receipt of a biometrics details. I have seen on countless occasions wherein a visa officer reject an application pending the applicant's biometrics. From the wisdom of my experiences, the immigration authorities have received your biometrics enrollment details and presently working on your file. As earlier said, its possible that there is a system glitch and the best way out of this is to raise a general CSE to IRCC and Kenya immigration office. On a normal condition, biometrics enrollment details should reflect in your MyCIC account within 1-2hrs after submission of your fingerprints at the VAC. I will advice you keep all hope alive and continue sending a message across to the responsible visa offices until they attend to your request.

I decided to pursue an MBA because I wanted to change my career. I did a placement which inspired me to pursue my career in business analysis. I am back to Nigeria now for reapplication and by God's grace I am currently picking up a job in relation to business analysis/ digital solutions at a communications company. Although I lack some knowledge , so I am entering as a entry level personnel that's the more reason I would like to gain added knowledge to my career.

My first letter of explanation was Vague. I did not know how the immigration works in Canada thought it was the same as the UK.

Acceptance won’t be a problem. There are people who have more than one PhD. The problem would be convincing the visa officer, just as I stated. And yes to the express entry, if age is on her side and with a good IELTS score.

I searched for my school but it's not there. Also I called UBC to tell them about the difficulty I'm having but they insisted the only way international students outside Canada can pay is through western union.

The only information western union gave me was a reference number but my bank is saying I don't have enough information from the school to attach to Form A.

Please hlep. Has anyone paid UBC tuition fee here?

Generated payment advice using CIBC INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PAY. Take it to Ecobank, attach your Acceptance Letter, Fee schedule/demand, your Intl passport and your Degree Certificate if you are going for Graduate study. At the bank you fill out Form A form and execute FX purchase agreement.
