What difference does where they were kidnapped make? They might as well been kidnapped in Afghanistan and brought into Nigeria. Is Nigeria a warehouse for kidnapped victims?
The fact that Nigeria could be used to hide foreign kidnapped victims is a disgrace to the government and all Nigerians as whole.

If the operation had gone wrong, lots of innocent Nigerians might have been killed and a diplomatic crisis with the US would have done ensued.

Dey are ways to handle issues politically or diplomatically is not by invading another mans country to rescue your citizen. I believe is just a popularity stunt to woo American voters. To be sincere I dont blame him much because. Our defence head quarters suppose to detect this ugly moves by USA but instead dey are busy looking for people who stole palliative.

Even though I am against the way and manner Buhari is handling Boko Haram and security matters in Nigeria, but how is GEJ government better than buhari government in destroying book haram menace? During Jonathan we had Chibok kidnappings, Sambisa Forest, a no go area, bombings all over northern Nigeria including Abuja.

Besides, the point I was trying to raise was the lack of trust by the US of the Nigerian government with security information regarding Bokoharam.

Handling Boko Haram diplomatically and politically with Nigerian government? A feat that no nation has been able to achieve for over a decade, due to incompetence, corruption and sabotage by various civilians administration since 2005.

If it were Nigeria, they will still publicise a panel and the family self will have to still pay big money to the government before they even think of trying to rescue the citizen from another far country.
They will even give details online and in press conference by a spokesman to analyze their plans and movements, every single detail will be in the open.
And at the end of the day, after collecting money as if they are the kidnappers themselves, they will still ask for the other nation's help for diplomatic negotiation.
