[quote author=opomulero post=95476982] Bamo2020, i think they just need you to be coordinated and straightforward, you are lumping things up for the eco and i think they dont have that time to be thinking or assuming for you the way you package your application. multiple account will surely give them problem (cut ot down to max of 2 but 1 account is better my own opinion though) Also your cover letter can do the magic at times, simple and few sentences about the credit and debit is highly neccessary. Carry gurus along on this platform also highly neccessary (IMO though). I have this mentality of thinking locally (think like a tourist) when im applying for any VISA e.g. how much does average uk citizen spend per week (i plan my budget breakdown around the amount) what is the average hotel cost that tourist go for in uk (i budget around the cost) what is the average cost of tourist transportation in uk per week (i budget around the cost) and the question goes on & on, after doing all ur calculation it might not be even up to 2x of ur Disposable income. Best of luck in your next application, It will be + IJN. Thanks bro, God bless you. N.B: "more coordinated" I agree. Straightforward, I am honestly. Anyways I agree I should have simplified things. |

Guys I just saw on the news that England will be going into a month partial lockdown starting from next week Thursday, which is expected to end on the 2nd of December. Could this affect our visa application and our tourism in the country this December? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Monmarri: 3:39am On Nov 01, 2020 |
Gatess: It will not affect it. Read below . Some places will still be open. Essential services will still be open. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a second national lockdown for England to prevent a "medical and moral disaster" for the NHS. He said Christmas may be "very different" but he hoped taking action now would mean families can gather. Pubs, restaurants, gyms and non-essential shops will have to close for four weeks from Thursday, he said. But unlike the restrictions in spring, schools, colleges and universities can stay open. After 2 December, the restrictions would be eased and regions would go back to the tiered system, he said. Mr Johnson said: "Christmas is going to be different this year, perhaps very different, but it's my sincere hope and belief that by taking tough action now we can allow families across the country to be together." |

But it will slow down application I am mainly saying during the pandemic, HO continues to processed application but it was slow and it is because some of the VACs in majority of countries was closed. So in the event, a lockdown was announced then HO will continue to work and process application but it may be slow. Let us all hope for the best.

Hello everyone. I did my biometrics on the 8th of October at ikeja and tomorrow 2nd November will make it 17th working days since. My planned trip is on the 26th of November. I haven’t received any emails for pick up or even refusal. Is it advisable to call or email tomorrow to find out what’s taking so long or should I just be patient. I’m worried they’ll hold that passport for too long and I need it to travel back to school on the 26th of December. |

Hello everyone, let me first commend you all for your selfless contributions to make our visa application journey smooth and stress-free. Please I need your help. I was denied UK visa recently and I intend to reapply this month. Attached is the refusal letter. Is it advisable for me to reduce my monthly expenses to N45,000 not minding the initial figure I provided in the previous application? Standing by for your advice. Thank you!

I am planning to apply for UK visit visa to attend a conference coming up January. I will be applying as a busines owner with all the necessary documents but my concern is that I do not pay myself specific salary on monthly basis but Moines has been moving into My personal account from My business account. My question is, in this case of stating how much you earn and doesn't not reflect to the account, would that be an issue? Can I apply stating that I don't pay myself certain amount for salary but profit are been shared every end of the month? Can I transfer the cost of my trip from my business account to my personal account as the fund made for my trip while I present my personal statement of account? |

Hi all, I hope we are all well and keeping safe. I live in the UK and I am processing renewal for my mum. I am sponsoring her and providing all supporting documents. I sponsored her the last time 2 years ago. Now, I would like to keep all my documents / information private - not sure who exactly will be assisting her to go to the VFS and I need to be careful.. So, my question is, since I am the one filling the form, if I upload all the supporting documents via TLS, does she need to take any hard copies with her? i.e. does she go with her passport only for biometrics? Or to ask another way, what documents does she need to take in addition to passport? Also, does anyone have an indication of availability of biometrics slots. I am looking to wrap up the application by tomorrow / Tuesday and book biometrics thereafter. Many thanks ahead for your help. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by iyatrustee(f): 11:39pm On Nov 01, 2020 |
anonymousmum: If you choose to upload all the supporting documents from your end, all she needs to go with is her checklist, passport and appointment confirmation. As regards availability of biometric slot, you have to monitor closely for dates f you choose to go with non paid appointments. But if you do not mind paying for primetime appointments, those are available for everyday. |

Ujay342: Let me contribute to this. I am not active on this thread however since I have made a request I should also give back. What I suggest that you do is that you take each item in that refusal letter and address it in a detailed letter / or in the Other section of the form), to accompany your next application. The reference to monthly money is only one of all the issues highlighted. 1. Income is not sufficient issue - you can demonstrate that you have savings to cover the trip (supported by cash in your bank statement which you submit, and that it will not impact your monthly expenses. 2. Looks like the hotel booking was done improperly - state that you have rectified the issue with the hotel booking (ensure that the start and end dates corresponds with the dates you put in your form. 3. Provide a breakdown of the GBP 1,500 (or revised amount) that you intend to spend (return flight ticket, hotel cost (value should tie in with the hotel booking that you submit), list an itinerary of places you want to visit (since you are travelling alone and you don't have family or friends according to your form), costs of places you want to visit, spending money per day, etc etc). This is to show that you have done your homework. The last line in your letter shows that the onus is on you to ensure that you prove without reasonable doubt that you will come back to Nigeria 4. The letter mentioned that you are married - state all your ties in Nigeria and demonstrate that you intend to come back. Good luck 4 Likes |

Hey people! Back again cos I’m about to start freaking out. So I called UKVI this morning to ask if there’s any reason my application is taking so long (today being the 17th working day) and they told me a decision has already been made on my application and that my passport is back with TLS contact. However I never received any email apart from the one they sent when they said they’ve received my documents. And I’m not sure why TLS hasn’t emailed me about my passport. I paid for courier service so they’ll bring it to me. My question now is: has anyone experienced this before and should I be expecting a refusal letter with my passport? Is there a number for TLS? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by LoyalRoyalty: 9:41am On Nov 02, 2020 |
twojul:I can confidently say congratulations to you because from the information you got from UKVI, your visa has been approved. The current trend is for refusal letter to be sent via email to an applicant even before such an applicant receives passport collection mail from TLS. Since they told you that a decision has been made on your application without you receiving any refusal letter. Your visa has been approved. Congratulations once again. TLS has no official phone number. Here is the link you can use to contact TLS https://pos.tlscontact.com/los_en/contact-form?type=complaint 1 Like |
