From public education, to public health institutions, we Nigerians watch as things deteriorate right before our eyes. We are helpless and cannot arrest the decay and the rot in the system. We fold our arms and conclude that the situation cannot be corrected. Consequently, we all start adjusting by sending our children to private schools and those who can afford it send theirs abroad. Same goes for our health institutions that have become slaughter houses while quack doctors are setting up private hospitals and health care facilities.
We cannot help the situation. We adjust accordingly. It becomes normal ; it is no more strange and repulsive. Our humanity is corrupted and debased.

The roads are now death trap ; electricity supply is a luxury ; public water supply is now in history books ; waste is a common sight all around us; and town planning only exists on paper.

While all this is happening, Nigerians have lost hope in government and the political class further reinforce the people's despair by making things worse in all ramifications. Nigeria is now a ruin with vultures, hyena and maggots calling shots.

As if the misery Nigerians are passing through were not enough, Insecurity is now a new normal in Nigeria. Tens are killed almost daily without any government intervention ; kidnappers have finally got a Foothold ; bandits are now freely exercising their unrestrained power ; Boko Haram are permanent feature of our national life.

The question now is : where is government?
The government is busy on how to suffocate the citizens through protest ban, free speech abolition, total control of citizens lives, poverty deepening and engaging in other nefarious political maneuvering such as passage of water bills, Ruga establishment and the rest.

The government is completely alienated from the public and appears to be the public enemy number one as things stand now. Nigerian government as presently constituted is the number one problem of the country. It is the problem and at the same time part of the problem and can therefore never be the solution nor source of the solution.

Nothing is impossible for God to do.

People are upset in this country and now, they are starting to be violent. These are not isolated events. Across the nation, for different reasons, people are mad with a failed country. In the north, it's insecurity. In the east, it's a feeling of marginalisation, in the west it's hunger.. The government is tone-deaf and is being led by a sadonic character who feels the need to act a "hardman" to the same people he visited during elections begging for their votes to be more important for his image. Increasingly, the government is now totally reliant on the military to govern. People are grossly disenchanted. To worsen matters, it's starting to look like all available means to peacefully resolve conflicts are being shut! Hunger is everywhere. People are not going to eat themselves, they will do something...

An inept government closed the borders for almost a year , making the prices of basic Staples go up. Fail in everything as a president but dont fail in this regard! Because if you do, you are asking for a revolt! Every demands made by the people towards their government is met with AK 47 fire! Religious leaders who used to preach caution are now exasperated.. Community leaders who used to advise the young have found their positions ridiculed endlessly by a government full of it's powers. Sectionalism and nepotism in high places have been so arrogantly institutionalized that most sections of the country are now genuinely tired of the country.. All the signs of danger are here! But one Buhari is asleep! The leadership seem to be prosecuting a very bloody agenda of ethnic conquest! People are about to to confront! So you are right to worry because We are in trouble!

Let the condemnination of this government be splashed all over the media, and it should be done relentlessly. Let the the tweets and retweets be made to amplify the evil this government represents. Let share and copy the disasters that have befallen this great country since this administration came into office.
Then you will know it is no rant; spreading awareness about the dangers this government represents is as powerful as street protest. Lai Mohammed knows this, reason he is suppressing freedom of speech.
