Chiggsglover:

You spoke lots of truth here, the protest wasn't entirely a failure if I must say.
We really shook Nigeria.

About the resignation of Buhari, I can see some drastic measure taken by the ex-millitary leader.
About LGBT, that's laughable, I can't imagine they will demand that. I personally didn't see that tho.

In all, I'm glad we have social media on our side and Coverups are not possible due to bountiful eyewitness recordings. The Youths know their voice and know that they can use. I'm glad some good old Nigerians are continuing the fight on television.
Yeah, you're correct. It wasn't an entirely failed protest and the government (and Buhari) felt the heat. Lol. They were forced to act fast unlike before. grin

On the LGBT stuff, they did actually demand that it should be legalized. A lady carrying the "pride" flag was almost beaten up at the tollgate on that day. I no fit laugh. grin grin

And sure, social media was the backbone of the protests and it really helped but at the same time, the stuff has it flaws. So many fake stories flying around to cause more violence and division amongst the people, but we pass them. cool

Very true I must say.
United we stand.

Part of the problem of social media might be unverified news. But in all, it's a juicy opportunity to get eye witness account not just by word but with camera. Look at the shameful soldier that was flogging a lady. I was extremely embarrassed when I saw passers-by raise their hands.

I never got harassed by SARS, I was picked out by soldiers once while I was traveling from Kebbi to Ilorin. This fellow spotted me and asked me to get down from the minivan. He asked me about what I was doing I told him. Then he said he doesn't like my Afro, that if not there are other passengers in the van, he would have taken me to town to get an haircut.
I was just looking at him. I was boiling inside. When he got no response, he asked me to continue my journey.

Only God knows what would have happened if he wanted to touch what was not on his head. Uneasy lies the head that bears the crown. It's not your business. As an advocate for the African pride and originality....after I stood firm against my parents, church, university about what I carry on my head, one guy without his gun will order my hair to be chopped off to his satisfaction. I stood as a Bulwark and look at him eye to eye.

I can still remember in my university, private christian universities eh, they couldn't allow me to enter. I didn't know when I blurted out. IF YOU TELL ME TO CUT MY HAIR OUTSIDE THESE UNIVERSITY WALLS, I'LL PICK UP A GUN AND BLOW OFF YOUR HEAD.
My hall warden and lecturers that knew me were amazed when they had that, they saw me as a good boy. Some people students were expelled for less.

What that soldier did was disgraceful.

The story behind this hilarious.

One of my favorite irish client was boasting about how African she is. That she loves to eat cooked corn from the cob but her mouth hurts after eating it that way, other folks here, will buy the corn that's loose from the cob and prepare it cooked or roasted, like popcorn...... Then I asked her to show me.

She went and prepared corn for me and her. Then brought those two contraption below and poked the cob from both end. I roared in laughter, I picked it up and ate it the Nigerian way. And she watched in amazement.
She stuck to her corn holder for hygiene sake, hehe. She tried, no one eats corn that way here. Hehe

A Big Ooin to the Racist.

This has shown that no one is invisible. Few days ago, I gave a hint that Biden would win. I wasn't very sure. It was like a silent prayer because if Trump should come back, People not just one, People would die, for a sitting America president to say that the coronavirus would just vanish and ignored the medical experts, he was gonna sack Fauci....thats Shocking, Fauci has served as Health expert to Four American presidents.

Trump is Racist, this goes back way back to his upbringing, his Rich Dad was Racist. Their family made it rich in Real estate and wouldn't rent their holdings to any African American. Trump single-handedly called for five the death of five African American and Latino for a crime they didn't even commit. Plus countless African American journalist that got Racist jeer from him.

Trump really lashed the media and the got back to him few days ago. While Trump was giving a press conference, 70% of the media cut him off and corrected him. Can you imagine the effonttery, they totally lost respect for him. Here's a man who accuses the media of fake news, dishing out the incorrect facts himself.

Two major things led to his defeat, the death of George Floyd, he couldn't even call the family and openly advocate reform, this resulted in votes that went to Biden from states that trumps party controls, the votes from African Americans and Latinos gave those regions to Biden. and his handling of the corona virus was his downfall, states that was hardhit by the virus all ran to Biden. They rather gave their vote to someone who knows the virus is real.

Trump is in one of his Golf course in Virginia for Stress relief. There's jubilation at the White house, the cheers will be horrifying to Trumps ears.
I'm about to grab a bottle of Sherry after typing this, I really hope Biden doesn't fall my hands oooo.

You dont need it for admission tbh, but for Visa. Given the fact that we schooled in Queens English right from the basic, we're supposed to be Exempted, but some poor representatives who graduated but cant read or write as they should has affected us.
Thats why we do the English test for Visa. I have heard of a lady that didnt submit such for Visa application and got it, she didnt come forward to verify that. I heard that if you are a linguist especially in English, you might be exempted.
