US Presidential Election 2020 (Live Updates) by chloedogie(m): 4:29am On Nov 03, 2020
I will be updating everyone live as the election goes on. It is a major battle between President Trump and former vice president Joe Biden....

1. As we speak, more than 94millon early votes has been cast by Americans. This is over 68% of total votes cast in the 2016 general elections. History will be made today..

2. Also with rumours of a possible post election riots break out, the White House has been fenced to protect the heavily guarded abode of the president from possible unforeseen attacks.

3. So many business owners and stores were seen fortifying their stores from possible post elections looting and riots attacks on their stocks. This is really looking like a danger looming and everyone is taking precautions

4. Part of the tension in the USA now is that even if former vice president Joe Biden wins and is declared the winner of the election, there are chances of President Trump challenging that in court and mind you, a larger number of the supreme court judges tilts towards president Trump's side. This is one of the reasons why the democrats are looking at flipping the Senate during this election by having more senators than republicans thereby deciding the fate of democracy in both legislative houses. With Nancy Pelosi a Democrat as the speaker, a win for the Democrats in the Senate will be the end of any post election surprises from president Trump should Biden win.

1. The battle for the 270 Electoral college vote points.

As it is well known in the USA, winning the general popular votes doesnt guarantee that presidential seat, but winning the 270 electoral college votes gives you the presidency as seen in the 2016 elections. Hillary Clinton won the popular votes by almost 3million votes but President Trump won the electoral votes by over 300 points. So the battle for the major states and swing states is the real deal now. Main reason why the two candidates are still out there campaigning in major cities where the electoral college votes could determine the outcome of this election.

2. Their bases.

President Trump has one of the strongest die hard supporters bases anywhere in the world. They are like our brothers up in the North here in nigeria. Their fanaticism is so strong and sometimes scary. Though he has lost some supporters due to how he managed the covid-19 pandemic and his constant verbal rough languages but you cant deny the fact that he has gained many more supporters over the year.

For the Joe Biden base, they are more of the Behind, executive, reserved and mostly educated calm folks around the country. They could be likened to our rich Ikoyi billionaires who were making fried rice with chicken, barbeque, suya, popping champagne and sitting under canopies during the elections in 2019 on the island in Lagos. He has a very massive quiet supporters who their voices will be heard on the ballot papers. He is widely loved and more popular than Hillary Clinton, reason why the trump's campaign committee are a bit worried.

The racial differences impact on the votes.

Though largely claimed and always spoken by Trump himself that he is the only president that has done more for the black communities than any other president in the history of the United states. But words are cheap. A reflection of how true or false this is could be seen during his campaigns. You hardly see any black American at his rallies which are mostly crowded by whites. On the other hand, Democrats are known to be the only party that have the interest of the black communities and this reflects in both Joe Biden's campaign pictures as well as the number of serving black politicians under the ticket of the Democrat party. You have many governors, reps, senators, mayors and county leaders who are blacks than you will see under the Republican umbrella.

What each candidate is using as a driver to gather and magnetize voters as we are few hours away from voting.

1. President Trump.

No doubt he has really built a great economy over the past 3 years. The unemployment rate drastically reduced round the country all thanks to his economy policies. But the Pandemic has really hit them hard as regards employment. Presently, the rate of unemployment in the USA is spreading and raging like a California wild fire.

Empowering the US military and making it stronger than it used to be. No doubt the president has made the US military more deadly and feared across the globe.

Cutting and negotiating peace deals across the middle belt as against the envisaged and assumed wars he will bring during his presidency.

Making America first. One of the things you hear on the lips of every average Amercian citizen is that, we want our country to ourselves and that is what he gave them. His immigration policies has also driven this and made it a success.

2. Former Vice President Joe Biden.

He claims to be one of, if not the major brain behind the economy recovery after the global recession the country went into in 2009.

He is also capitalizing on the bad management of Covid-19 which has led to the deaths of more than 200,000 Americans. He feels he could and should have done better.

Also, Joe Biden is looking at clean/renewable energy by 2050 but baba Trump says, na oil or nothing for now just as Naija.

Moral values are also what Biden wants to bring to the table. There is a general believe that moral is lost gone.

Just quietly follow this thread. The USA election is a realtime election where results drop in every second from the time voting starts. So calm your nerves and learn how a truly democratic system works and what a country like Nigeria could learn from it.

How this election will impact the world in general.

In 2016, Michelle Obama said something about the office of the president. She said it is an office where the silence of the president can affect the global stock market. It is an office where a wrong statement by the president can cause the 3rd world war. It is an office where the body language if the president can determine the general leadership of the world. We have seen that happened.

Some of you are the reasons behind federal government wanting to shut down the social media. Have you ever seen that type of slab fence in the White House before? What you have in the White House is a see through balustrade fence. Go to BBC, fox news, skynews, CNN etc and go and watch it live. Or check it out on YouTube as they were constructing it yesterday. Lazy youths everywhere.

You know there are profiteers of wars. If there is no riot, there wont be looting. On both sides there are looters and hoodlums. But mehn those trump's supporters are deadly man. Do you know they said they will be brinign guns to the polling units with a 10miles radius distance?

Bros you wont get any unbiased analysis of both presidents. Most of the reports out there to support claims are unverifiables. It takes months of research and interviews with close associates of both guys to genuinely be able to conclude and analyse without any iota of bias or favoritism.

A Trump win will see America going to war and bullying of some smaller Nations, but for the Christians and Church, it will buy time for more preparation towards the Rapture. A Biden winning will restore some level of peace and hope for America. It will be a breathe of fresh air to some Nations that see Trump as a bully. But to the Christians and Church it will be the beginning of the end due to the unfinished business of the Obama administration towards whoredom.
So, Trump and Biden is like voting among two evils, but I think Trump is the lesser evil. Whichever, let God's will be done.
