Hi all. For those who recently applied for citizenship, did you submit your Nigerian police clearance certificate and how can one get Nigerian police clearance certificate from Canada.

Thank you

I need help as this question was asked to me by a family friend. I told the person I will post it on Nairaland and get back to her.

This is the issue:

The lady had run away from an abusive marriage in Botswana. She went to South Africa along with her 3 kids (All under 10).

From South Africa she was able to travel to Canada leaving her 3 children in Johannesburg with her sister. She was granted refugee status in Canada.

Now, she is in the process of reuniting with her children. She has applied for permanent residence for them. In this process, she is being asked to have the children father, her husband, complete the form 5604 which is a declaration from non-accompanying parent.

Not only she isn't longer in touch with him(the children father) but also she believe that trying to relocate him is pointless given that he will never agree to sign such a form. He is bound to make her life miserable in any way he can.

Any suggestion?
Readers, what first came to your mind reading this gist? Lol...

Hello , good day all here. I'm an aspirant who intends doing a Human resources management PGD in New Brunswick. Now, I have a question. What are they odds of getting a job and staying back with a HR PGD or certificate after a year ? My intention was a master's degree but my 2.2 doesn't qualify me for a direct masters for now so I Intend going for a post graduate diploma then proceed to a full-on masters when I'm done. Peradventure I make do only with the PGD, what are they odds of getting a job and staying back ? Thanks for your replies

Hello all, pls I am searching for anyone that completed their ACCA after moving to Canada and stay in Winnipeg. Yeah, I know it might be difficult seeing as the only ACCA recognized tutorial centre I saw online is in Toronto and not much info on doing ACCA in Canada on the web, however I know it is doable and I will really appreciate practical tips. Even if you started ACCA here, maybe as a path to CPA and stay in Winnipeg, please I need your guidance, kindly PM me.

Thanks a lot.

Will really advise you do, almost lost my life this year, still didn't know how God saved me. My car skidded off Highway 401 when I was going from Toronto to London , the long vehicle trailer that was coming from behind almost ran me over when my car formed a T right at its front. The snow started all of a sudden and I had "all season" wheels on.

So please change your tires, it's for your safety!!!

I thank God for your life sir, thanks alot I must change my tires.

Not sure you need one. If you had submitted one when applying for PR, which I am sure you did, you won't need to submit another. There maybe some "ifs" though; if you had lived in some other country (ies) before becoming a Canada PR then you would need police report from all those countries.

Things might have changed though, but as at March 2020, I believe I read it in one of their citizenship documents. I might be wrong too, I am open to correction

Congratulations, but this entrepreneur process is a long one oo & sounds expensive too. Well done
ednut1:
this is a Nigerian's timeline for nova scotia. Depending on the province investment are usually 100k to 300k cad and networth of 500k to 700k cad. So check each province website for details.

*Someone's timeline*

*Entrepreneurship Testimony*

*Ola's PPR - Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Route*

Hmm, this journey...I would read testimonies and would ask myself, when will it be my turn. I turned that question to prayer to God and He showed up for me.

CRS was initially 326, hubby evaluated his masters and it moved to 327, then I wrote IELTS in August and got a slightly improved score. CRS moved to 340. Then I further evaluated my OND and CRS moved to 359 (OND that I had earlier discarded gave 19 points! Wonders !). Anyways, at this.point, I knew God had to intervene in PNP as best option for me and family.

SINP EE submission - 5th July 2018
AOR - 5th July 2018
IP - August 2018
Septeber 2018 - Wrote to SINP about change in profile

Then the wait....

In January 2019, was led in my spirit to research the business/entrepreneur route. I researched extensively and decided to apply to Nova Scotia as easier for me to meet their requirements.
2 Jan 2019 - sent expression of interest to NSNP
2 Jan 2019 - NSNP acknowledgement received
8 Jan 2019 - Invitation to apply received from NSNP
9 Jan 2019 - withdrew SINP application ( I just had peace to do this. I had a conviction there may be an issue with work experience matching. I had applied for Economists and policy researchers but I don't have any any work experience to match this. I just wanted to get in the stream then. It was the days of SINP fastest fingers)
18 Jan 2019 - applied to IRCC for exploratory visit visa
5 Feb 2019 - procedural fairness letter received ( they queried why I didnt state a prior U.S visa refusal. The truth is that at the date of my visa application submission, I had not received correspondence from U.S embassy on my visa renewal. I received correspondence on 22 Jan 2019, in which they asked me and my family ( it was a family application) to come for an interview. I wrote IRCC stating this and God showed up for me ( meanwhile, U.S embassy denied our visa renewal)
12 March 2019 - passport request for visitor visa for the exploratory visit (3 months visa given)
12- 19 May 2019 - exploratory visit to Nova Scotia
26 May 2019 - application sent to NSNP (Paper application)
28 May 2019 - application acknowledged by NSNP
12 June 2019 - NSNP interview request received
21 June 2019 - applied to IRCC for visitor visa to attend interview
20 August 2019 - eligibility review (not sure when it started just noticed change on this date)
8 September 2019 - BVL received
11 September 2019- Passport request for visitor visa for the interview ( 3 months visa given)
15- 17 October 2019 - interview trip to NSNP office in Nova Scotia. Attended interview on 16 October 2019
16 October 2019 - interview passed. Business performance agreement received
9 December 2019 - Entrepreneur letter issued by NSNP and support for accompanying dependants
10 December 2019- submitted application to IRCC
18 December 2019 - medical passed. Eligibility started. Request for additional documents (clearer scanned passport pages for me and education/work history for spouse)
19 December 2019- submitted additional documents requested
4 February 2020 - Ghost update
5 February 2020 - passport request for closed work permit visa for me, open work permit visa for spouse and study permit visas for kids (2 - a 10yr old and a 7yr old)

Under the program, PR is given after landing and successfully running the business for a year.

Revelation 12:11 " and they overcame him by the blood and by the word of their testimony..."I know my PR is sure in a year's time, as stipulated in the program guideline, by God's grace and I will share the testimony in Jesus name

dancing my dance, singing my song - Jesus, you are a wonder (3x) Jesus, you are a wonder to my soul
shouting Halleluyah

... Naija to Nova Scotia...

I give God all the glory. He answers prayers.

Lyrical - thanks for helping me even when you had not met me in person. I asked you lots of questions and you answered me kindly. Such an incredible personality.

Solomon ( now in Nova Scotia) - my brother from another mother that I met on this group. You kept encouraging me.

Ma IG - I would like to thank you specially for replying my DMs at those times when I was so unsure. You have never met me before; I just introduced myself from the group and you were very helpful with honest answers to my questions. And thanks for setting up this excellent group with fine people.

nobody can tell you the so-called odds of getting a job. seeing you will have one year work permit most employers will hesitate giving you a job since they cant get those with longer permits and PR.

And how did he show you someone? From a picture or in person? Keep in mind he could have an accomplice.

Anyway, everything about immigration is DIY.
Yes, you can do it yourself

use the Canadian education to apply for pr. Nothing is guaranteed with 1 year permit. What if you see job 4 months later. Will the employer want someone with6 months 8 months left
