Before u know it they will try to claim the place and anybody trying to defend it will be termed ipob. Foolish people. I used to have the original court document but after my phone got stolen I lost it. And the site is not going |

dogmax: Obigbo has absolutely nothing in relation to Ogoni. Obigbo and Ogoni have never been in the same province talk less related. I was born and raised in the vicinity of Obigbo. When Ogoni was in Calabar province with Opu obu (Opobo), Obigbo was under Owerri province. Even Opobo later agitated being in Calabar province and later moved into Owerri province under Ahoada Division along with Port Harcourt. As of 1975, Obigbo was under Ukwa LGA which was formerly Asa County Council. My father represent Ipu South constituency in Asa County Council in 1965. The original Eze of Obigbo now domiciled in Owaza due to ceding of Obigbo to Rivers State in 1976 vehemently opposed joining of Obigbo with Rivers State under Bori LGA. 6 Likes |

Onlinefarmstore:The site which someone archived the document is no longer working if not I would have posted it here. The people of ndoki/asa are divided into 3 one set are in rivers state, one set is in akwa ibom d largest is in rivers state. Back then their was nothing like geopolitical zone all the states were under eastern region so the people doing the boundary adjustment saw nothing wrong with zoning oyigbo to rivers in order to mark the territory between rivers and old IMO state present day abia. It was opposed but nothing could be done. Obigbo was put under I think whether khana or bori LGA, the reason ogoni people are trying to lay claim to it is that back then based on the war and creation of rivers state plus ignorance and illiteracy being rampant they did not believe their were Igbo's in rivers state not to talk of sharing same LGA with them, since oyigbo was under khana/bori they believed oyigbo was part of their land, it was the creartion of oyigbo LGA that adjusted it. But some people are still he'll bent on ignorance 2 Likes 1 Share |

The Igbo's found in akwa ibom I think ukanafun LGA are supposed to be part of oyigbo. When the boundary adjustment was done although the IMO state government challenged the adjustment the reason why they didn't really take it to heart was because cross rivers and rivers state was still part of the eastern region. People saying oyigbo is Ogoni land should google Igbo's of akwa ibom. When oyigbo was still an underdeveloped village them no claim am but the moment it became developed despite the marginalization, and lack of government presence oyigbo LGA is the third largest developed LGA after port Harcourt and Obio akpor. This feat is surprising them. Imagine how developed oyigbo will be If it received government attention 2 Likes |

Coldie: As of 1977, Khana was not a LGA. Bori LGA comprised Gokana (Bori), Khana, Obigbo, Tia and Eleme. The northern regional elites gave in to the change of name from Obigbo to Oyigbo in order to suck the fools dry of crude oil. Even the dumbass fool named Sara Wiwa was commissioner for education in Rivers State yet his two younger brothers were in high school in East Central State before the spilt of state in 1976. 1 Like |

Dede1:The Ogoni peoples argument thats making them trying to claim it according to them they said oyigbo means my friend I Ogoni language. But u know the politics of then, that involves changing names of Igbo places. The real name of oyigbo is obigbo but it was changed to obigbo to reflect the state it was been zoned to. Our argument to Ogoni people claiming oyigbo satin oyigbo means my friend, we ask them what does Ogoni mean in Ogoni language them no fit answer till today |

hammerPY:Opobo people HV indegenous Igbo's. The major thing that drove most of them away is almost same thing that's playing at oyigbo right now. During this curfew if a soldier sees u and u are from the south east nothing in this world u would say or do that will make them believe u are not ipob. Thats how it was then if u are an indegenous Igbo of opobo during d war they come across u nothing in this world u will do to make them believe u were not a biafran, that alone meant instant death 2 Likes |
Re: OGONI Memorandum Of Converting Oyibo To Obigbo by Coldie(m): 1:20pm On Nov 03, 2020 |
OfoIgbo:This had been my plan all along but Ipob spoilt everything, as long as oyigbo kept it peace and the population kept increasing as time goes on they will be a force to reckon with in rivers politics. Below is rivers east, do u observe that after oyigbo other LGAs around the area are sparsely populated. If those people decide to use their population to really engage in rivers politics they will only be stoppable by port Harcourt and obio akpor

The ipoo clowns are creating more problems for themselves. Oyigbo is now Obigbo Port Harcourt is now Igweocha Ibani is now Ubani. Soon Rivers will be Umurivers.. It's obvious as Wike dey deal with una, una no know where una f up dey come from. Kanu and IPOB are clueless and thus shouldn't have been part of this protest. Recent events shows that this people harbor diabolical mind to covet Ogbigbo to themselves. I saw a post on Facebook, of burnt down houses in Obigbo, curtsy of the military, the poster been an Ogoni chap, was gloating of taking over Obigbo, since the land is theirs. This is more like a replay of the abandoned properties saga in the 70s. How history repeat itself. If only Kanu can buy sense, if only he can buy sense to control his runing mouth. |
