Does anyone have any experience with these batteries/inverters?

Afripower is a rugged inverter sir. I have used their 1.7kva inverters for several installations.
Takes load like a champ.

For Eastman, I have no idea.

Thank you.

Hmm.... actually i think oversizing by almost 50% maybe too much(budget wise) so just do 280 X 4 or something like your present one of 300 X 4. You should be fine with the Voc at 2s2p

Thanks for the info.
My aim is to get something that will last for 4 years plus (with 50% DoD during use) within 120-140k budget.
I have gel 200ah

Mileage varies immensely with sealed batteries as they're less tolerant of overcharging.

I've used both on request. Both work wonderfully for streetlights. Under typical home (ab)use, do not expect more than 18 months deep discharge lifespan. They live 24 months and more but you're unlikely to be disappointed if you stick with 18 months

That's good to hear. I'm eyeing that Afripower 24v 1.7kva. The only major load it will carry is a small fridge rated 100w. Going by your review, it should handle it without any issues. I believe the compressor surge power is still within the inverter's capacity.

Even if the fridge is 500w it will handle it perfectly. I have used it on a 350w fridge & freezer.

Morning guys, please I need answers to these questions

1. What can you say about Afripower and Eastman inverters as regards durability and idle power consumption?

2. Also how good are NXT index batteries? (lifespan following at most 50% DOD) Compare it with Quanta batteries.

i get about 30w idle draw from my 0.85kva/12v inverter. its up for sale btw

Great!
Please does it allow you to set/change the voltage at which the low battery alarm will come on or is it fixed/preset?

My fangpusun cc 70amsp mppt with separate display is not displaying ok, I set my float at 13.7 and absorb at 14.7, but the battery will be reading 13v or even 12.8v at float and 14v and lower during absorb, if i read the battery directly with a digital multimeter.

Meanwhile the fangpusun display will be reading the preset value. Has anybody experienced this before?.
Juo seems to be the fangpusun guru, abeg chook mouth.

I fear i may be undercharging & possibly hv damaged my battery if it turns out the dmm readings are the correct readings

Price please and can it be used with a regular inverter? Or what is the charging protocol if one has an inverter with an adjustable charging algorithm?

I need help, this time from tech guru. I have a clone of MPPSolar MPPT charge controller, PCM60x and I need to get the reading out using my Linux server.
The CC has a serial port. There is a python code that is supposed to work, but I'm not up to the task. Any help is appreciated.

Does the server have a GUI? You may use solpiplog if it does.

Yes, I installed GUI to be able to run the solpiplog in GUI, but the PCM60X is a different thing, isn't it?

10kva felicity on a 200AH* LFP is an interesting one, I wonder if the buyer is here and can update on whether this was supposed to be a short or long backup system, will also be good to know how much the 10kva consumes (it's efficiency)

I need a 12v 0.5kva to 1.2kva hybrid inverter. anybody knows of a reliable one, apart from luminous? or recommend a decent 400w to 1kva 12v inverter with idle consumption below 15w

massive installation, 600ah 48volts on 30kva 48volts inverter, omo..i guess this is a backup system for office computers or something, designed to sustain the system while back up generators come online. or the person wants to run high energy Air conditioning units for a less than an hour,

i dey scratch my head, cos the inverter capacity really dwarfs the battery bank,
care to tell us the application this was deployed for?
