Fact 2. Of all the nationalists in Nigeria, Wike named a stadium after Gowon. Then one wonders what's the rational of doing so if not to show his Igbophobic tendencies. He did that to tell everyone that he appreciates how Gowon dealt with Igbos and saved them. In addition, he named old Aba road too.

Fact 3. He publicly stated that criminals operating in parts of Rivers State are Igbos who operate from Anambra State. One begins to wonder why or how on earth a governor will make such slanderous claims. How did he arrive at such conclusion? Does it even make sense to profile not just a whole state but an entire ethnic group & project them like they're constituting nuisance on Rivers State??

Fact 4. He closed Ikoku spare parts market and goes about giving the impression that he is doing the Igbos a favor by allowing them to do business in Rivers State.

Gee chill, the protests degenerated into all sorts of unfortunate incidents in Oyigbo. Police men and soldiers were killed, police stations burnt and even court building. And then it was almost turning to a tribal war between the Hausas and Igbos. Add all of that to soldiers coming to retaliate their fallen colleagues and imagine what would happen if everyone was allowed to move freely. Although the curfew lasted beyond normal, you should look at the precursors and stop blaming Wike. Oyigbo is not the only place with Igbos in Rivers. Gov Wike have rendered many traders in Ikoku motor spare parts market incapacitated, same with mill 3 and oil mill markets because he believes that majority of the traders in those markets are Igbo's.
The governor is just busy promoting an Ikwere agenda in the state, while other ethnic groups in the state are left to fend for themselves.
What Buhari is doing with other ethnic groups in Nigeria, is exactly what Wike is doing in Rivers state.
