If Trump imposed a national lock down,they were going to use it against him that he's taking away their freedom. If he didn't impose a national lockdown like he did, they were going to spin it as not caring about the people and allowing Americans to die like what they are currently using against him. The Virus was just a perfect event for them.

You know how I know that Democrats will spin it if trumped had locked down earlier? It was because Biden was against the travel Ban trump imposed on China in the early days of the virus, when the virus was still restricted to China.

So there was no way trump will win in the eyes of democrats, which ever way he chose to handle it.
All those Democrats followers are just naive , thinking Biden cares about protecting them against virus. The winner will be known in few days time. But the actual voting by the electors will take place in December.

The electors for each state is expected to vote for the winner of that state. Except in some few cases.
